Okay here’s a new topic, The Lady of Pharis books, or rather book.

I’ve read the first grapic novel CPM have released and I quite enjoyed it. It’s very good if you want a book all about "Pre-Lodoss War" so to speak. Most of the first book is the six heroes meeting up.

Some highlights:
- You get to see a non evil Beld when he meets up with Fahn…they get drunk together :D
- The warrior priests Flaus telling Beld that he should become a priest.
- Beld hacking lots of monsters and caring more about the reward money then the fact he’s been fatally stabbed.….I’m I mentioning too much Beld stuff?
- A minor appearance of Vagnado,
- Finally finding out the dwarfs name (Flaibe)
- Oh and not to forget the birth of the Demon Sword Sole Crusher..... And a naked chick running around with it if that the kinda thing you like…..

One other notable fact is that it’s not drawn by Masato Natsumoto, who did "The Gray Witch" and "the Chronicles of a Heroic Knight," but Akihiro Yamada who’s isn’t Japanese. Which raises the question is a manga still a manga if not drawn by some one Japanese? How ever you feel "The Lady of Pharis" has a very western comic non-manga style to it. It still looks good though. I’ll get some scans of the characters up later so you can see what I mean.

I've been plotting about buying The Lady of Pharis quite a few times, I just haven't had a wallet for it. In my opinion, how it's drawn doesn't matter as much as the story - it's just like a movie, it doesn't matter how many special effects you got, it'll still suck if there's no plot. I guess I'll start saving.
