I've watched one through four and I love it...very fun stuff but I don't know if it'd have major mass appeal.
The manga is really good too. I'm digging CLAMP's new softer style of drawing. :o

I've seen the first 2 eps, I guess I didn't care for it though...
Just not my type of story I suppose. The characters were pretty interesting I thought, the story just seemed kind of dry.

You're right; the storyline is pretty much a rehash of all the pocket fighter-type stories. You'd think CLAMP could do much better....oh well. I'll watch & read the rest before I make a final judgement. :D
i love Angelic Layer!!! i love CLAMP!!! :kawaii:

this is CLAMP's (Ohkawa Nanase-sensei's to be exact) style of story telling...there's a deeper meaning in the story
if you want to i could spoil it for you ^^

Easily the most warm and touching martial arts drama since Ruroni Kenshin. :kawaii:

It is the first show I've seen that portrays Martial Arts as a bright and positive activity, rather than a grim and violent one. And my what a splendid job of originality CLAMP has done once again. :kawaii:
hai hai
another great work by CLAMP :kawaii:
I very much disliked this series, maybe i'm not childish enough

No spoilers please! :D
I guess you can't really judge a series by the first four episodes.

All I can say as a Martial Artist myself is that it has some of the most stunning and intense combat ever to grace the Anime Medium. :kawaii:
