Check out the Marvel Mangaverse comic that's out now...a couple amusing Eva references including a new take on the Fantastic Four that is kinda silly. It took me a while to catch on:

Reed Richards = Kaji/Misato
Human Torch = Asuka
Invisible Girl = Rei
Ben Grimm (the thing) = Shinji (This one I found kinda ridiculous)

Plus they fight an "angel" complete with a core and everything.

I dont see how Misato/Kaji are like Reed Richards or Shinji and the Thing but the others as EVA fiend says are about right

Well if you look at how Ben Grimm / Shinji is illustratred, he's looking pissed off/intense in the frames where - according to his speach patterns - he supposed to be shaken up and/or unsure of himself. It's like the artist didn't bother to read the script. :confused: Ah well.

I can't really imagine the Fantastic Four part, but i'll be looking out for it when it comes over here to Aussie...

Yeah, about half way though on reading the MArvel manga verse Fantastic FOur it clicked on me. "HOLY $#&*$ IT'S EVA!" Adam Warren did a genious revisioning of FF as Eva. I only wish the other Mangaverse were as good and did such homages. Man, that was so cool.
