if any of you haven't seen bebop yet for any reason, FOR GOD SAKES SEE IT!!! evangelion is of course the worlds best anime but bebop is just as good! this show has style, substance, a good plot and the worlds greatest cast of characters (ed rules!) so..uh...see bebop. mkay?

yeah.Studio Sunrise has been really ambitious lately. they have been puting out some of the best series of the 90's

ex.Outlaw Star,Cowboy Bebop,and Gasaraki(i love those shows).

Although I think Cowboy Bebop is better than Evangelion I had completely different reactions to each of them. After I had finished watching Evangelion my first reaction was "What the hell was that?!" and for days afterwards me and my friends discussed the many deep meanings behind the series. However, for the first hour or so after I had finished Cowboy Bebop all I could think was "Wow!". It was like a crazy roller-coaster ride that left me thirsting for more afterwards. I was like an excited kid always talking to my friends about it and saying "Remember that part when....". Anyways, when I want to see some high intensity action anime I watch Cowboy Bebop, and when I feel like stretching my intellectual mind I watch Evangelion.

but on more of a Cowboy Bebop level... i've been searching for more anime with deeper stories as so with Eva nad seLAIN. is CB one of these? or not. i understand if it's great, and no matter what i should watch it... but should i be expecting some fucked up plot twists and lifeVSreality story lines? thanks

Well... Cowboy Bebop isn't really that philisophical and there isn't any important messages in it. However, it has an amazing cast of characters and it develops each one really well despite being somewhat episodic in storyline. But basically it's an action anime with a lot of good humour and amazing animation and storylines. There are some really good plot twists but nothing that will ---- you up afterwards. I highly recommend that you see this anime but it's not exactly what you're looking for if you want really deep storylines.
