Attached is a screen capture from Ep 14, just before Unit 0 goes beserk. It is one the the data displays from the MAGI that has the columns 'Sensory Neuron', 'Motor Neuron', and 'Proto Neuron'. Under the columns it has a scrolling list of body parts (I don't know how clear they'll be but you should be able to read them). Are these the body parts of the pilot or the EVA?

Hmmm, my guess is that it's a display to see if the connections between the pilot and Eva have been made and/or are functioning properly.

Or if the body/eva parts and nerv patterns are synchronising correctly...or is that what Marius suggested?

'Sensory Neuron'
Sync ratio system between pilot and Eva

'Motor Neuron'
Power system of Eva

'Proto Neuron'
umm... I'm stuck on this one

Actually, I would think the Sensory Neuron would be like the connection between their senses... vision, hearing, taste? (I can only think of Zeruel here)... Motor Neuron would probably be motor skills like walking, etc. Proto Neuron, I don't know either.

Perhaps it's to check if the Eva's nerves are all functioning correctly.

i guess it shows if the pilot and the eva are in synch and everything is working fine :heh:

My guess is that the pilot is like the brain of the Eva, and the neurons act likewise:

Sensory neurons send information from the eva to the human, just like the sensory neurons in humans send infromation from the body to the brain.

Motor neuronas send information from the human to the eva to control it, just like motor neurons send information from the brain to the body.

Proto neurons, I have no idea. Perhaps it's supposed to be like intermediary neurons, and act as things that cause reflexes; they connect sensory neurons directly to motor neurons.

Proto neurons could be neurons which aren't finished yet.

I like this idea. I think the Proto neurons are just like the Interneurons we have in the human body, they connect the sensory to the motor.
