OK! I've seen the whole NGE now! (NGE DVD perfect collection) but the first episode confuses me! What the hell makes Rei sooooo hurt? She comes in with a broken arm and a messed up eye... what happend? Someone plz tell me! :?:

It shows it in ep 6, I believe. When unit 00 goes berserk and Rei's pod gets ejected and falls to the ground. And Gendo uses his bare hands to open the hatch door. That's when she got injured, I believe.

But wasn't that like 6 months before SHinjis arrival? She should have healed with the modern technoligy and the time! (my opinion, my lousy opinion)

even broken arms dont mend over night. 4 to 6 weeks is ok, but the eye thng could have been anything.

oh it was 4 - 6 weeks before Shinji got there.

If I'm right, the eye thing was a cut parallel to the nose, between the nose and the eye. That fixes quicker than bones.

no it was only 3 weeks

Ritsuko asks Gendo "you did see Rei at the hospital today didn't you?"
and Gendo replies "she can work again in 20 days"

also start of episode 5, it says something like 20 days ago
and flashback to the incident with Eva-00

I always thought that she was severely hurt twice. One when the plug ejected and the other when she ws fighting the first angel that came to Tokyo 3. and that was when Shinji had to pilot it, oh hang on ahhh never mind! I'll think about that one.

Well, she had a pretty rough fall from that stretcher in ep. 1, and it reopened some of her wounds, so that probably hurt her more as well.
