Okay, when Gendo Shoots Ritsuko, He says something … The script… Full credit to parties involved…



SCENE: Terminal Dogma - Gendo, Rei and Lilith - Ritsuko sitting at edge of LCL pool

Ritsuko:
I've been waiting for you.

(Ritsuko stands and draws a gun... Asuka fighting... Back to Ritsuko)

Ritsuko:
I'm sorry... I secretly altered MAGI's program earlier.
A daughter's final request...
Mother... die with me.

(Ritsuko presses something in her pocket, but nothing happens.)

Ritsuko:
It didn't activate? Why!?

(Pulls portable terminal from pocket - Casper-3: Rejected)

(gasp) Betrayed by Casper!
How could you, Mother? Choosing your man over your own daughter...

(Gendo draws his gun)

Gendo:
Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... (Gendo's lips move, but you can't hear him.)

Ritsuko (surprised, but then smiles):
... Liar....

(Gendo shoots Ritsuko, who falls back into the pool of LCL before a ghostly Rei.)




Now most people say, Gendo said "Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... love you" Of course we are not certain…-But want else could it be? That made Gendo use her full name, and also shock Ritsuko and then grimice over it and then say he's a lair?

"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... am thankful" ?


"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... will kill you" ?


"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... am sorry" ?


"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... ate the last riceball" ?


"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... love Yui" ?


"Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... love Naoko" ?


Only so many things that could be said… What do you think?




Not much to go on… Just another reason why Anno, is a man just wanting to drive us insane…

Well...i think he said "...I loved you"...it IS the most probable thing. "Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... am sorry" is also a good, but the first one is better.

I dunno, i kinda like the "Ritsuko Akagi, I truly... ate the last riceball" one myself.

love you kinda fits in though with the liar comment becouse she always has known that Gendo was using her and never loved her.

I have always assumed that it was, "I truly loved you."
Considering the situtation though, ".. am sorry." would make more sense.

There are only 2 poeple that I know of who know for sure:

Anno, and the Japanese voice actor for Ristuko (not sure about the English Ristuko or the English/Japanese Gendo, either)

Casper has the transplanted thought pattern of Naoko as a woman. So basicly Naokos woman side betrayed her by choosing the man her mother loved. Remember that a final decision is reached by these three computers conferring together.

Sorry...i meant that Ritsuko was betrayed by her mothers woman side...that is all...and yes...i was using.........laptop :)
