have you noticed that buw is an appropriation of all kinds of anime?
1 the el heggunte is just like the the eva unit 00 (the girl names her mecha with a french name, el also stand for a female- wink wink nudge nudge, shes a lesbien !!!)
2. Lilica is a copy of nene
3. Rio has knuckle bombs like Priss from bgc
4. Maya is as obsessive with weaponry as minnie may from gcs with bombs

any others that i've missed?

I'm sorry but I have to disagree.

1. Most machines or inanimate objects are given female names or referred to as "She".
E.g "She's a fine ship"

2. Plus the name doesn't sound French, it sounds more Spanish to me and "El" isn't feminine in Spanish terms.

3. In the second episode when Nanvel is showing her creation to Maki, she gets all emotional and says:
"I don't understand, look at HIM, HIS body is made of hardened tecktite!"

If you watch the video, you can see for yourself. But she clearly refers to El Huggante as a male.

Therefore, my Nanvel is not a lesbian.

El Hegunte (spelling?) is a take-off of EVA 01. When it goes out of control on the bridge, I think that is a take-off on the activation of the dummy plug system (The red eye thing).

EVA is a female name and you don't see anyone calling Yui Ikari a lesbian. Then again the Evangelions are actually female.

Since all the EVAs, with the exception of Unit 01 were created from Adam we can assume they are female because Eva is the German form of the female name Eve and also because the biblical Eve was created from Adam. And from above we see that Unit 01 is female. The EVAs don't have any reproductive or many other organs for that matter.
