What the heck kind of DVD did you end up with?
We (read: the anime community) petitioned Buena Vista and got them to delay the R1 release until they put the Japanese track on, dagnabit!!

ainslye, that doesn't make sense. Did you buy a foreign DVD? The American release (http://www.animeondvd.com/reviews/viewreview.php?review=557) has Japanese 5.1 language, English 5.1 language, French 2.0 language, and English subtitles as options.

Ainslye, I just remembered that some of the cases don't have the correct language listing. Originally, it wasn't going to have the Japanese track! But if it's a licensed R1 release, it'll have the Japanese track on it - we worked hard for it :)
I think there was much confused discussion at AnimeOnDVD a little while ago when someone found a disc without the Japanese track listing, but it turned out to have it anyway. I'd say get it.

Yeah - they printed up the cases and were ready to roll - then the otaku community found out about the intended lack of Japanese track and sent lots of pleading letters in to Buena Vista until they agreed to re-do the discs to include the Japanese.
Unfortunately, they didn't reprint the cases 'cos it was already too expensive :heh:
