If you read the "Previews", comic shop catalogue. You will see in the back section where the anime videos and dvds are advertised that Burn Up Excess is finally available!!

It's due out August 2002. But there isn't any information on the web about it. Not even on ADV's website.
So I've scanned the image as proof, but I apologise for the image quality. It's due to the image being very small and the small file size limit of this board.
But the words are very clear:

Burn Up Excess Volume 1 DVD
From A.D. Vision! Join rowdy Rio and the gun-toting, high-tech members of Team Warrior as they take on four of their hottest cases ever! With mechanical insects, firefighting jewel robbers, panty thieves, sexy sheiks and fawning fathers, there's never a dull moment when the babes of Burn-Up X-cess are on the job!
Approximate running time: 100 minutes.
Release Date: August, 2002.
Mature Audience
DVD $29.98

On a less relevant note; Our Burn Up club now has lots of Burn Up W/X fan art. Come and see for yourself!

*officially drooling*

I hope there are 4 episodes per DVD like BUW, any news on how any epsiodes per DVD?

Knux

Well there are 13 episodes. Since this one had 4, there will most likely be 3 DVDs with the last having 5.
But there had better be one with Nanvel on the front or I will be sorely disappointed.

Also, anyone who bought the Right Stuf special with the DVD and T-shirt get anything from ADV yet?
You're supposed to get a postcard that gives you additional info and a special discount getting Excess.

Err... there was a little customer info card in the case that you could send back to ADV. I didn't send it back, and I *hope* TRSI had the decency not to pass my address on to ADV without explicit permission...

(to answer the question: no :heh: )

I don't see how they could *not* have one without Nanvel - one cover for each of them :D

The covers would rpolly be like this

First DVD : Rio and Maya
Second DVD : Lilica and Nanvel
Third DVD : Yugi and Maki

Id be something like that

Well the first one has only Rio on it.
The second will probably have Maya on it and maybe the third will have Lilica or Maki.

You must think like a business man... You want to make money thus 3 DVD's isn't right... 4 dvd's split with one with 4 eps and 3 dvd's with 3 eps... thus measuring out nicely and more revenue for the company.

But of course us consumers want more episodes per DVD thus we dont have to fork out so much cash,

They better not be stingy and give us two eps per DVD . .

i'll kick'em if they do

Gunblade

That might be a bit extreme, they might care about money but I think they'd also want to avoid a public riot storm :D

Uhh are you sure because they only released the GSC DVD with all 3 episodes, unless you bought a HK DVD that could explain

No one sane business would release one dvd per ep... Just wouldn't be profitable cause a lot of people would see sense and stay away from it :D

Thye did that with the orignal Burn Up W tape collection... Hell most VHS series that were shorter than 6 eps fell to this ploy...

dvd's are a lot cheaper top buy than videos whne you come to anime

orochi X
28-06-02, 06:32 AM
They are?

Anime tapes are about $20 or so while DVDs are the usual $30 or so

Linna32
28-06-02, 09:40 AM
yes but dont forget that tapes contain 1 or two episodes opn the rare occasion its 3 eps, but if you look at dvds they are 4 eps pre dvd or more unless its weird like with gunsmith cats..... which contains 1 ep per dvd....

I liked getting the eps one by one. You get more of a description on the back and it gave you something to look forward to. (getting the next one)
That was the first anime I bought and with my first, real work paycheck. I was stoked!

We'll for 25$ a pop… Even a fool wouldn't go for that… Just isn't cost effective…
