I was thinking... (Possible spoilers)

I was watching Eva the other day with my friends... We have all seen the series before... And basically we were just going through fast forwarding it to all the fights and such... (Unless there was an episode we wanted to watch entirely.)

And I began thinking about it...


Everytime Shinji seems to be in danger... Eva-01 either protects him (ep1)... Or goes berserk...




Here comes the spoiler... :p Just a fair warning...














They say that Yui's soul is in Unit-01... And I began to think. Unit-01 protects Shinji everytime he is in danger... And to me, this seems like it's a mother protecting her son.

Yup, it's Shinji's mommy, protecting her baby. I also say that Yui's mother-bear instincts show up in Rei, who protects Shinji with her life.

mummy is a giant honkingly huge robot now. of course she wants her son to survive. dispite him jumping into her back to drive her and all :D

this means that everytime shinji is piloting unit 01, he is like back in his mother's womb.

There is a scene where Shinji says to Rei that she's behaving like his mother - how much more of a hint do you need? :P
