Texans, Arizonians, New Mexicans...lend my your eyes...

I need to know who's going to AX who lives along the Interstate 10 route across these states. If there needs to be any carpooling, we should get it ironed out now. I've gotten a few requests and I want to get them out in the open here.

My schedule:

I live in Austin and I plan on leaving the evening of June 30th. I want to get at least to Brady, TX (about 4 hours west), sleep, and then drive to El Paso the next day, something like 9-10 hours. Since the next leg of the trip, El Paso to Long Beach is about 10-11 hours, I might break it up near the end of the second day, stopping at Yuma, AZ. From then on, it's about 5-6 hours to Long Beach. My hotel reservation is through the morning of Wednsday the 3rd to Tuesday the 9th, so that should hopefully work out fine.

I have a ton of vacation time to take at work, so I'm flexible about getting back. From what it looks like, leaving on Tuesday will get me back to Austin by Friday the 12th.

I'm in a 2-door VW Golf, so space is limited. Questions, comments, requests? heart havok, unless he can't go, has already asked me (and I've agreed to) meet him in El Paso to drive out together.

I'm arriving at LAX July1st and will be leaving for San Diego until the 3rd if you wanna stop by their before AX. I'll be back in Long Beach the afternoon of the 3rd so if you want we could hangout for a bit that night, but the opening ceremonies begin at 10 am on the 4th so I won't be out too late that night.
