Misato's apartment block

Watching the series again, there is one thing I never really looked at:

Misato's apartment block is empty!

And here I was thinking she was the only one with taste to decorate her balcony.

Well it's the only with a light on at night.

More evidence to support this is in episode 3 or 4 (can't remember which) but Misato asks Shinji to take out the burnable trash. When he puts it in the area where it can be collected, there is no other rubbish around.

I wonder why nobody else lives there?

The whole of Tokyo 3 looks pretty sparsely populated at times, but at other times it looks like a bustling metropolis (can't think why, I wouldn't want to live there). Misato's apartment block is on the outskirts of town so perhaps it's not such a poplular suburb.

Actually, that might be the reason why the neighbours moved out. :p :lol:

I agree...maybe Misato did not want to live in the headquarters so she decided it will be better to live in the outskirts.

This made me remember, I always wanted to do a drawing about Misato's apartment, so tonight I'll put my AutoCAD 2000 skills on work, and perhaps tomorrow I'll bring you a sketch for us all to develop.

That would not really be necessary if someone had the Evangelion Art Book (is that the name? I never remember the names!!!!*), by Sadamoto and a scanner. There is a great drawing of Misato's apartment, with the kitchen, the three bedrooms, the bathroom and the living room.

I have the book (Spanish version) but not a scanner.... :o

*Anyway it's the one that has Unit-01 head-piece held by Unit-01's hand, with a white background...

It's the 100% Newtype Collection. I have the book (Japanese version) but like yourself I am without the scanner part...

In the picture, the room indicated as Shinji's becomes Asuka's when she moves in.

Shinji's second room is right in front of his old room (now, Asuka's room).
