Has anyone else seen those commercials on cartoon network? Over 3 consecutive Sundays, they will be screening an unknown number of Dragon Ball Z episodes...coming soon.

I know that the cartoon network in the US they screened 21 hours of Dragon Ball Z over a single week end.

I think it's on a number of Pay TV operators. I have Foxtel myself...as soon as I find out more, I'll have to buy some new video tapes

Cartoon Network is on Optus Vision and Foxtel (I know because I have both)
Optus Vision - Cartoon Network is joined with TCM, so cartoon Network is on between 5am - 9pm. TCM is on 9pm - 5am.
Foxtel - 24 hours a day

Are they going to be the movies or a lead up to the new series or just a reapeat of the series (Again)

I'm not sure what they are going to show but the ad does mention the 'Earths strongest fighters are back' and it has footage of some guy's I havn't seen before.....maybe they are showing new eps

Ok, I have the details....From Sunday 13th August, Cartoon Network will be screening three of the movies: The World's Strongest, Dead Zone and Tree of Might....

Has anyone seen these? Are they any good?

Well, I personally think that all movies before 7 sucked. . .or. . .weren't that good. Oh, and movie 11 sucked as well.
Anyways, World's Strongest is alright.
Dead Zone is funny, well, the Gohan part, that is.
And Tree of Might was kinda stupid. . .but still good.
Just my opinions, though.

Well, the Janenba movie was great. Love that one scene (that I'll review in my sig). And the Brolly movies 1 and 2 were good (first one was great). But movie 11 (Brolly movie 3) sucked!!! No other way to describe it.
Oh, and movie 13 was really good too. Tapion was a cool character.

well it's up to debate where the movies sit in the plot. Mostly they sorta seem to sit in some sorta "parallel universe" or something. While some of them are damn good (i.e. Broli, Tapion etc.) theres a lot of bull that comes up in some of them (i.e. Koola, FSSJ etc.)

Well, the dragonballs are upgraded (the Earth ones) to allow two wishes each time you gather them (and each wish for an unlimited number of people).
And him being dead. . .do you mean in the movies or the actual manga (and anime series)? In the manga, he sacrafices his life to try and kill Buu.
In the movies, he was just dead because the timeline should be around the Buu saga.
And. . .I think that Vegita's third strongest move'd be (not sure of the name) the one in which he shoots rapid ki attacks.

in super botendon 1 2 and 3 i know he had the final flash don't ask me why it was in 1 because when i was fighting him in story mode he will go Final Flash but we all know he didn't invent it till the cell saga altho it did go to cell saga but cell was not in his perfect form

err...sorry wrong. Renzoku Eneruuji Dan is a completely different move to Gallit Gun (which is called Gareto something in jap, i can't quite remember) Renzoku has been done by a few people here and there. Vegeta uses it against Gohan and Goku, Gohan uses it against Freeza etc.


However there is another, similar move, the one I think that Yuusukes talking about. It's a move that Buu copies off Vegeta, which is supposedly multiple Ki balls shot at once (don't think I know the name though, i'll go look it up)

My usual move list site doesn't list anything for it, just Renzoku Kikouha (Renzoku Energy Dan in the games and some other places, lot of confusion as to which is "right") and Gallit Gun is Gyariku Hou. so there :p


Oh and what exactly is Kakusan Ha? The only move I know by that name is Kakusan Enerugi Dan, which is the move Kulilin uses against the Saibamaen (the large beam that splits up) And how come there's 5 moves listed when it says "the three strongest moves"?

Well i know that there are definatly 2 forms of the gallet gun unless funimation just mucked up the dubbing when vegita was fighting goku,because Vegeta throws them on the ground and shoots the hell out of them and that definatly is the gallet gun so take it for what you will

+ i thought everyone did a renkou energy danz u know why all it is is a small ki blast and everyone does it or it may be the other 1 u said mixed up

yeah the move that u said was correct krillen does do the kakunsan ha so does vegeta well i saw him do it against gohan but i will change it since he hardly does it ill change it to the ground flaire since that move rules

Yeah, thanks Pen2, that'd be the move I was refering to. Though, I was never good with attack names. . .well, not with Vegita's, since most of his are in English, and there's less to remember. ^_^;;
And I'd hafta rewatch the eps of Vegita's first fight with Goku to see which part (Vegita's) talking about ;)

Oh, btw, I believe it could be translated as Garlic (notice the Japanese spelling and bad accent) Gun (and keeping with Vegita's strong moves in English). I remember a fanfic (Vegita-sei Ascendent, can't remember the page, probably a geocities one) that made fun of this fact.

If i rember correctly Bakuhatsu-ha is the one Nappa uses to blow up the city. It's different to Vegita's.


Zenshin kara no Shyougeki Ha - is the one Vegita does when he spreads out his arms and legs and creates an explosion. A pretty cool move ^_^


but Vegetas strongest attack would be Saishyuu Saigo no Waza, which is the self-destruction move he uses against Buu. touching scene really....

but the coolest move ever is Ki no Tsurugi, the one Vegitto uses to impale Majin Buu. That move kicks. :evil:

Yup, Vegita's strongest move'd probably be that one (self destruct, not gonna copy the name, lazy). I shoulda rememebered that one. And quite a touching scene, as Pen2 said.

Anyways, the best move'd be Buu's 'turn an enemy into candy' move (Pen2, name please?) Heheheh, very fun when used. Especially on Vegitto (strongest coffee candy in the universe scenes). Well, that's just my opinion, but. . .

and yes that is a pretty cool scene. I haven't seen the anime version though, you were saying Vegetto was around for like 5 eps or something?

Well, he wasn't around that long, which is fine, it's much like the manga.
But. . .they made Vegitto weaker, imho. (You'd probably have to see to understand).
It's just that. . .well, let's see. In the manga, Vegitto went Super Saiya-jin at the start of the fight to show off. In the anime, they had Vegitto fight for a while normally, then block a huge ki blast (which looked like it took some power for him to do) and then went Super Saiya-jin after a seemingly drawn out fight.
And another scene of it. . .they added a little filler episode where Majin Buu got extremely angry for Vegitto making fun of him, and starting acting like he did when he was trapped in the RoSaT (yelling and dimensions falling around him). Just made Vegitto look weaker, imho.
Although, I guess he'd look weak to me since he's the fighter who should be able to take on Majin Buu without going Super Saiya-jin, as said by Dai Kaioushin(sama), who I don't think was exaggerating (sp?)

Tree of Might sucked.
Dead Zone was very good, especially with Gohan. ^^
