Saber Marionette Music

I saw a lack of a music thread for Saber Marionette. Myself, I haven't even seen the series, but after listening to Successful Mission by Megumi Hayashibara, I felt compelled to buy half a dozen soundtracks... So now that I have all the songs, I have to say there are a lot of good ones. Of course, all of the ones Megumi sings in are good (even the lalala versions), my fav's:

Dakishimete Lovin' You
(maybe somebody can help me out, this is supposedly on the
OAV, but it's not on the OAV soundtrack??? It's on the Best
History album though...)

Successful Mission
(I first heard this on Megumi's album Iravati...I've been hooked
ever since)

Izayoi
(A beautiful song, I heard it was used during an emotional scene
in SM)

Heart Break Down
(Cute, catchy, what else could you ask for?)

Kage ni nare
(I was suprised to learn Orikasa Ai (Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo)
voiced in the OAV, but I guess this was the only song she did)

Yume mitsuketa
(For some reason, I like the lalala version better)

Everything is Love
(There is something about Shiratori Yuri's voice, I don't know
what they call it, that makes it interested to listen to.)

Joudan janai yo!
(The first 8 seconds are the best part of the song! Those few
seconds by themselves make the whole song worth listening
to!!)

Seimeisen no Maria
(The vocals were absolutely PERFECT for this song, fantastic!!!)

Lively Motion
(This song is definitely livelier than the OP theme Proof of Myself)

Isshoni
(A light, cutesy song, but it's so kawaii when they say
"everyone, come on!" I can't help liking this song)

Korekara no watashi ni
(This song is different from any other song I ever heard before..
I think I like it too!)


Well, at least a dozen great songs, and I haven't even really listened to the ones sung by the non-female characters. Something tells me I won't like those songs though... Who else here has a favorite song(s) from the series?

I personally like Successful Mission from SMJ and Hesitation fro SMJ Again.

I haven't seen the series, so I don't know for sure but here's what my research leads me to believe:

the song you're talking about from SMJ Again would have to be "Hesitation". It's the only Saber Marionette OP song on the SMJ Again soundtrack.

"Successful Mission" is for the OAV

"Proof of Myself" is for the TV series

I could be wrong about the last one, but I'm very positive about the other 2.

Wow...I was way off, except on the J->X TV series, which I thought I was wrong on..

I just assumed some things, because most of the anime I'm familiar with has just one OP and one ED song per season (exceptions being this one obviously, and OAV serieses like Devil Hunter Yohko)..

Thanks for the correction, Kawaii_No_Miko, and I suppose to be fair, I have some corrections as well:

Regarding the songs you gave for Saber Marionette R, "Dakishimete Lovin' You" is sung by all 3 marionettes, not just Lime.

"Anata mo Zutto Mitsumeteru" is sung by Matsuura Yuuki, and seems more likely to me that it is the OP for the series SM Girls Saber Marionette J, since it is the title track for the CD single for that series. Also since it appears on CDs from that series.

"Soba ni Iru Yo - Yasashiki EPIROOGU" is also sung by all 3 marionettes.

What's even better than the vocal tracks of the SM series are the BGMs... the light instrumental versions of songs like Isshoni are ear candy. I will say that J to X probably has the better overall OST. "Jodan Janaiyo!" ("It's No Joke") is my favorite vocal track from the J to X series. The first chorus with the acoustic guitar gets you into the song.
