sorry for asking but as we all know the ending of the kare kano ended sometime in the middle of the manga series since it was rushed. i was curious anyone knew which volume of the manga series the tv series ended on? i was kinda hoping to buy the manga from where the tv series left off :D

If I wasn't lied to:
The anime ended at chapter 33, which is in volume 8.

Too my knowledge, it is still being written. Or it quite recently ended.

The anime did end at chapter 33 (in volume 8).

The manga is still goin in Japan, Volume 13 was released in may and the next volume is due in December. From what I can see there is still at least a few more to go until the end.

Do you mean to the manga or to the anime? IF it is the anime then no most likely not, The author wanted to go one way and Gainax wanted to go the other way. Gainax would like to finish it off but its very doubtful they will get the chance.

if another kare kano anime ever gets off the ground, i hope they dont gay it up near the end because of low budget again...

Yes. Kare Kano turned quite homosexual near the end.

Because it IS possible for a TV show to have a sexual orientation.

Hahah someone else who gets annoyed by that, I always argue with people that inanimate objects cannot have a sexual orientation.

Gainax has stated this.


There is major discord between the manga creator and Gainax. Supposedly Gainax made the tv series too comedical, and left out much of the romance that the creator wanted. So they won't be allowed to do anyone, even if they wanted to.
