The Record of Lodoss War 13 episode OVA series is now available with Central Park Media's official remastered addition on DVD.
Much better than that "Fake DVD" that was released a while back, this one has all the extras and DVD-ROM stuff.
Not sure about the retail price, but it sells for 45 dollars at Best Buy

Mind listing what exactly is in the extras that would make the dvd worth picking up? I dont' wanna drop 50 bucks down again for something that I already own on DVD...

Another thingy that is willing to buy...I don't know why people want to buy Boxsets or limited editions...
Anyway, I like my original 6 DVD's!

I buy Box Sets because they are cheaper. Period!
I only had to dish out 150 bucks to get the Escaflowne Special Limited Edition DVD box set, as opposed to spending 250 dollars for each DVD individually.
And to spend 45 dollars for Record of Lodoss War is a lot cheaper than the 170 some odd dollars I spent on the series 2 years ago.

Right, but you don't want to spend money on Boxsets of shows you haven't even seen! That would be a total waste wouldn't it?

No, not in my case. For one I have money to burn, and if there was ever an anime I bought that I didn't like, I could always sell it on Ebay or something.
Secondly, and more importantly, I do an unbelievable amount of research about an Anime series before I buy it: Reviews, Magazines, General Anime public opinion, maybe even reading the Manga adaptations at my local Borders Book Store. I'm 90% guarenteed to like whatever anime I buy.
The tally so far of all that I've bought: 8 Liked, 0 disliked.
Thirdly, I'd rather spend a small amount of money for the whole thing than to buy seperate DVD's. If by chance I don't like it, box sets sell better than individual DVD's.

Does anyone know if they plan to remaster the TV series too? I'm about to buy the DVD TV series so I want to make sure there isn't a better version coming out.

RE: How do you get so much money? Save? Have a huge job?
On the contrary, I haven't been working for very long, so I'm still getting Minimum Wage. The thing is, I have no expenses. None whatsoever. So I get the full paycheck for myself, and yes I do save every time.
Secondly, I have 4 general hobbies. Anime, Video Games, Reading, and Writing.
Most Video Games I rent, books are comparitively cheap, and Writing costs me nothing.
That said, Anime is virtually the only thing I buy with my pay, though I don't waste the whole pay each month buying. I buy maybe a box set a month, and after that I still have enough to save for later.
Everything else I buy comes along only once and a while. My New VCR and new DVD player, or my new Computer for instance. Its a rarity that I go out and buy something that expensive.

Oh I see. Well, I hope you someday get a promotion with that job! Just continue work and be friendly and sociable! :D
I usually order boxsets of the web
ex.
Fushigi yugi oav. $75
on the web below $45

Anybody have side by side comparisons of the old set to the new one? Tryin' to decide here if I should upgrade or put the cash to something else and video quality will go a long way.
