I just finished hiring AD Police (part of the Cyberpunk colection) on Video and I have a few questions

(No I didn't post this in the wrong forum, it's related to Bubblegum Crisis)

Episode One was alright, it had nothing to do with the Bubblegum Crisis. But when episode 2 came up the start of it said "AD 2027 - A story from the Bubble Gum Crisis" That's strange, they mist of put the wrong episode on the tape. But when the opening theme with Ad Police came on, I knew that they didn't.
I watch that episode not really giving much thought about it, and then episode Three started with a similar title. "AD 2027 - Another story from the Buble Gum Crisis"
So I wondered what was going on???
Also When watching the show that AD Police had Voomer as Opposed to Boomers. I also noticed that the Annimation was similar. But because It's set in 2027, not 2033 when the first series was set. I'm not to sure

So I ask you now. How is AD Police related to the Bubble Gum Crisis???
Is it a prequalto the Bubblegum crisis???
If it is where was the Nght Sabours???

I've never watched the AD Police, but I had assumed it was about the armored division police of Mega Tokyo. Kind of when the whole boomer craze was just getting started which was why the ADP was founded. They were always considered a joke by the rest of the police and military.

As for the other differences, I dunno. Just kind of an alternate story of a fictional world? Thats my guess.

Ok heres ya answers.

Like it said it is set in 2027, before the Knight Sabers were even a whisper. It focuses around Leon when he is first enlisted in the AD-Police. The Boomer crisis (Voomer is just a bad translation) has just started, assumed by underground companies doing illegal upgrades (and not by the sinister Genom corperation).
Does that clear things up.

I actually liked AD-Police more than BGC I dunno why the storylines were more captivating.

I personally did not like the AD police files. I found the storys rather odd (best way to put it), and if you are a huge fan of BGC like me you will be disappointed.

actually Voomer is not a bad translation Voomer in BGC actually means something
*A BIT OF SPOILER*

in BGC Toyko 2040 when Cylia talks about her past she talks about Gelatia and Mackey, Gelatia and Mackey are Voomers. i think Voomers meant like the over ruling beings of Boomers but are still boomers
i don't know if that made sense but Voomer is like the boss of every boomer seeming after gelatia got free she began to spread the boomer plague which made every Boomer go rogue, and the boomers fused with machines and building s and other sorts. Voomer means something not just a bad translation:D there I hope that clears some bits

edited a long time after posted due to spelling and wrong words

AD Police was great; I just wish there'd been more of it.

Still, can't say it was better than B.G.C.; after all, how many sequels CAN be better than the original?
