about Kagami

I am completely lost after i finished watching it.

Few questions to ask about Kagami.

1. Is he actually one of the villains? Since the grandfather wants to kill Aya (the fact that she was Ceres), it seems he's trying to protect her from the start (the way i see it).

2. There are some scenes i noticed about him (looking back at the previous episodes)
a. The first time we saw her mother whose mentally-ill.
b. His dark past where his mother realised that he's one of the Mikage clan.
c. He was holding a framed picture with Ceres before his death on the ship.

The main question is - What does he actually want from Ceres. Does he want power, miracle to happen or love? anyone

I finally learned a lesson here ... da*n those bootlegs, swore i'll never support them ever again :mad:

Well, the way I see it, he had a pretty a bad childhood, especially resentful of his mother, and so he does the whole C-Genoma project to create a perfect race, but more perfect women, "perfect mothers", rather than just perfect race. Power wasn't really the true objective of his, instead I think he wished to create a perfect world in terms of people. Hence the creation of the C-Genoma women.

Well, he's not really cruel, I see him as a good guy with strange ideals.
Serekith's explanation is great. He wanted to developp his research about the C-Genoma to get perfect humans beings, or at least better ones. I guess you could call him a crazy scientist in some ways...

And his little obsession about Ceres... He simply thinks she's perfect I guess... Gah I gotta watch AnC again, should've bought the DVDs... But 25$US/DVD and there's 8 of them for only 24 eps... That's stealing money from poor animé fans...

Not only that, but they're all region 1! And they're not available in Australia! Argh! If only they liscence it here...
