when is too far enough

boogiepop phantom is a moody anime that sets in a goth kind of way, yeah i loved it when i started watching it, having the themes of society's dark side take shape and how there are mysterous forces at work, twisting the ways of reality.
until...my bubble was poped you can say.:confused2
when i saw the episode about that restaurant guy burning that red dye, it disgusted me and it sort of forced me to tune out of viewing boogiepop. yeah i know crap like this happens in life where some poor soul wishes that he had a girl friend and resorts to drugs and starts licking his computer screen
(well maybe..lol).
but i watch anime to get away from that stuff sometimes.
can somebody tell me if i should continue watching boogiepop or is there another episode more disturbing than this and i shouldnt even bother watching the show anymore.

Don't give up on the show yet... I saw that episode and it didn't worry me too much. This is not your normal anime. Some of the themes might disturb people.

I love things that are different and I want to see how it all comes together in the end.

btw, I found the guy that went around eating the spiders more disturbing than that episode.

If you want my honest opionion... if an episode like that could turn you off from something as great as Boogiepop Phantom, then you shouldnt be watching it in the first place.
Maybe it was a one time thing though, i can kind of understand, but dont let it stop you from finishing the series.

I still have to wait for the rest of the series to come out in Australia! I might just have to go out and get the imported version. It's only a few weeks to wait, I think I can hold out.

Well, there are *plenty* of disturbing episodes of Boogiepop Phantom, up until the very end of the series. Don't let one episdoe turn you away though. You're gonna miss out on a truely great series.
