Whats the Plot to BPP:The Movie

It takes place before the series ive heard... But i guess it does include the light incident and such.
Im not sure what the main plot is, but i suppose its Boogiepop hunting down the Manticore or something like that... Similar to the series but expanding on different points.
Some different characters appear to be in it that werent in the anime. Echoes is apparently a hobo in it who is picked up by one of the characters.
Also, do you remember in the series when Toka looks at a picture on her dresser and says "Takeda" (at least im pretty sure thats what she says)... Well, that guy is in it. He is her old boyfriend and apparently sees her as Boogiepop in the live action. Not sure what becomes of him, but we can only imagine.

None of that made sense to me which is GOOD, since I haven't yet watched the series. No, I take that back. The quote made sense, BUT I'd like to add an additional question about the movie rather than a whole new thread:

it's unfortunately only available in RAW Japanese. Gigasheep and i have both bought it. i unfortunately can't watch it though, 'cause my DVDplayer isn't Regionless {yes, i knew that before ordering it :p}... he's seen his though... if i see him before he posts here, i'll direct him to the thread for you.

I have seen it, but raw. I need subs. Thankfully though it is being fansubbed this moth, to be released bit by bit!

I saw the movie, beside the bad acting and a lot of awkward moments, it has a good storyline(a bit erratic) :p
