If I'm not mistaken, it's about man's inability to change. Fuse was basically a beast. Although he seemed to drag himself up a little; get a nice girlfriend, stop shooting people, etc., in the end he was still a killer.
Just keep in mind that I only watched it twice and the first time I was too busy with my sweet lovin' to pay attention to the subtleties of human nature expressed.

Hmmm, I just saw this movie, in fact im still listening to the ending theme which is really somber :(

Anyways, its quite a long, slow anime which requires alot of thought to understand all its symbolism and such. I thought that if you use the metaphor of Little Red Riding Hood, and apply it to the relationship Kei and Fuse had it more or less fits perfectly on many levels.

Thats how i thought you were supposed to think. If indeed there is a uniform way to think [/profound]

rofl :p

PS: Evangelion and Nadesico on UK TV I must be dreaming :o

One of my friends bought the DVD for my birthday. I finally watched it for the first time last weekend.

Definitely not your average movie.

I'm still thinking about it. I'll have to watch it over and make up some more opinions.

As far as I can tell, this movie wasn't about a man's inability to change. I see it more as man's inability to change.

The primal instincts still reside in us, and they still hurt the ones we love most.

Just another idea. Chew on it.
