It's just you. Aeka has a whole different look to her with the eyes and the way her face is drawn. Lady Eboshi looks like the mom in Totoro.

They don't resemble anything at all...First of all, Aeka has that long purple hair. She is princess of the Jurai capital. She has purple eyes, not cole black eyes. Her gown is totally different from Eboshi's Japanese Clothing. So, I wonder what happened when you watched Princess Mononoke. They don't resemble at all...
