Inu-yaha's TRUE age?!?

I was wondering how old is inuyasha really? :confused:
I mean we all know hes over 50+years, but how old was he between when his mother died and he found kikyo with the jewel?!

and what did he do cus i remeber one character saying that he was doing all sorts of nasty stuff?(destroying village and other yokai like activities?:lol: )

Nobody knows really, with the obvious exception of Takahashi-dono. I`d guess he's around 16-17, since a lot of his predecessors (Ranma, Ataru, probably the Maison Ikkoku guy etc.) were that age and he doesn`t look much older/younger. It's possible that his demonic heritage has affected his ageing process, but I'm guessing it'll not be noticable until later on (assuming hanyous live substantially longer than normal humans, that is).

Inuyasha could be quite old even if he looks like a teenager- Sesshomaru's looks have barely changed from 50 yrs ago according to flashbacks in the later episodes. Then again Sesshomaru is all demon, and Inuyasha is half-human... so nobody knows for definite. How old is Miroku, Kagome and Sango anyhow? So many episodes and it seems their ages remain a secret.

Well, according to volume one of the Viz manga, Kagome is 15 when she stumbles into the feudal timeline. "I never even thought about trying to remember them. Until the day I turned 15. Today." Though, at least in the American manga, it never clearly defines the passage of time as she does stuff with Inuyasha and company, so I suppose a year or more could've passed since she freed him.
I'd imagine the other characters, sans Shippou, are probably within a similar age range of Kagome since their character designs don't look much older than hers.

I believe Kagome was around 15 or 16 (going to take the high school entrance exams soon), and I believe one of my friends commented that Miroku is 18. I'm not sure on Sango's age.

I saw an episode focusing on Miroku's relationship with some village girl yesterday (I think it was ep. 41), where there was a flashback going back 3 years and presenting the supposedly 15-year-old Miroku. He didn't look any younger, so I guess he's a bit older than that, say- in his early 20's, maybe.

I wonder whether Inuyasha aged at all during the time he was sealed by Kikyo's arrow. Can you count that time, or is it like being freezed and then defrosted into another time?

I don't really think time that you're frozen "counts". His body didn't age (since he didn't eat anything or go for a crap in five decades, you can assume his body stopped), nor did he experience/remember anything from that time.

like i said for the sess one...-perhaps we will never know, unless they want us to know. I just assumed that full demons didn't really age at all, and inuyasha kinda aged at...uh...half rate?

Well, I heard this from someone on a Yahoo!Groups list I joined, who apparently has access to an official magazine from Japan. The girl said the magazine says Inuyasha is 82 (was 32 when he was sealed), Sesshoumaru is 93, and Shippo is 16. But youkai age slower than humans anyway. ^_^

Yea..I guess....heh...inuyasha and sesshomaru look good for their old age and little shippo is like 16 and doesn't know anything on sex? poor child.

I know that demons age slower than humans and crap..just look at kurama from yuyu hakusho he is like 300 yrs old and he is still looking good..mind boggling...
