How did you come across Inu Yasha?

My first exposure was by fansubs. I was surfing through my school network & chanced upon a guy's computer who had some of Inu Yasha's 1st few episodes... the title got me interested & i downloaded & started watching.... i was hooked by the 2nd epi... :D I was hungry for more Inu Yasha & i was impatient to wait for the rest to get animated... so I ended up buying vol 1 - 26 of the manga.

u might have seen this in another forum... :heh: ... just wanted to hear from you folks here

I got hooked on Ranma about 1/2 a year ago, and when I couldn't get any more Ranma, I happened to find out that Takahashi had a new Manga, so I got interested and d\l the first few episodes and obviously got hooked again...

About a year and a half ago, some friends and I were in SLC at a bookstore and a friend bought one of the graphic novels. I wasn't very interested in anime at the time, so I didn't pay much attention, but last year (after they got me started on anime), a friend had some of the fansubs and they looked interesting, so I watched it. ^_^

I first came across Inuyasha while we (me and by bf) was browsing the net and looking for some new Anime to watch basically.
And we found some interesting titles and Inuyasha happened to be among them, and so after a while we started watching it and i simply loved i....And after the first few episodes i was totally hooked... ^____^

Inuyasha is basically the anime series I cut my teeth on, so to speak. Back around eigth grade or so, I shifted social groups and started hanging out with these hardcore anime fans who subsequently introduced me to the "genre". I was always tired of hearing them talk about stuff I didn't had no clue about, so one day-- when their series of focus was Inuyasha-- I just walked up to the local comic book store and bought the first graphic novel.

What else can I say. That was really all it took. :)

my younger sister was the one who exposed me to inuyasha. i think someone she met on the net suggested it to her and then she told me about it and we started downloading fansubs for it. i became addicted to it after the first few episodes.

Because it has Rumiko Takahashi tag name so I just bought it. The manga, of cause.

My story is pretty much the same as MasterPete's. :)

Is it just me, or does Rumiko Takahashi's art just keep getting better and better?

hmm... i saw a few episodes on the teev but i came in far past the beggining and i didn:t really understand what was going on. then my friend at school traded me some inuyasha manga for some ones that i had lying around (crappy love stories that were presents(rejects?) from other friends... good trade, ne?) and they have become invaluable for idling away the hours in class. :)

Recently, my local anime club at a screening just for promotional purposes. What we saw was the first ep for five series.

One of which was Inu-Yusha.

I was keen to see this because I heard great things about the series itself. Plus, prior to screening, I heard My Will in a MP3 format off a friend and fell in love with it.
So what did I think of Inu-Yusha?
Now, the task of a first ep of a series is to grab the viewers attention and set the scene for the rest of the series. Needless to say, the first ep of Inu-Yusha garbbed my by the throat and refused to let go! :)
Thus, my first exposure to Inu-Yusha succeeded brilliantly. I am now keen to see more.

And one final note, I simply ADORE My Will - What a marvellous choice for a closing song

I had read an article about the show last year in a back issue of Animerica. It sounded like something I would really enjoy, so I went on Ebay to see what I could find for it. I ended up buying a set of the first 25 or so issues of the manga. Good stuff!

I'm watching it for the first time on ASA. So far, tonight's episode was the best.

I read some stuff about Rumiko Takahashi's new series, after seeing much of Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma 1/2.

I actually was looking through my local TV guide the day it first aired on Cartoon Network. I usually don't watch it anymore because I've seen the serieses I wanred to see, so I don't pay attention to commercials. Just for fun I decided to actually look at the TV guide. I can't believe my luck at getting the first episode (kami was smiling at me) after that I was totally hooked. I bought the graphic novels, fansubs, import DVDs with crappy korean subtitles that always spell the word tired as fired...and it's become my favorite anime and obsession in the past few months. The main obsession of course being sesshomaru.

1.) Samurais!!! Any anime that has samurais, history and great action turns me on. (Rurouni Kenshin, Jubei-chan, etc.)

2.)I heard Rumiko Takahashi is one of the best creators of manga.(Is that true?)

3.)Inuyasha = Sai Saishi (G Gundam)
It's from one of my favorite seiyuus. (Yamaguchi Kappei)
His voice is kinda weird and funny.
