Best anime song ever?

Hmmm...there's a lot of good anime music out there. Macross Plus, FLCL, Cowboy Bebop, RahXephon, some of Utena.

I would have to say my favorite song is too hard to choose. "Cruel Angel's Thesis" is really damn good, and I know the lyrics which is a bonus. "Hemisphere" from RahXephon is really good too. I love "Reckless Fire" from Scryed. "Call me Call me" and "Gotta Knock a Little harder" both rock. And there are too many FLCL songs to name.

Choose one for me.

It's kind of hard for me to choose just 1, there so much good songs, and sometime the one I find is the best change depending of which anime I'm listening at the moment.

But for now I think the song I find is the best is Komm Susser Tod (Come Sweet Death) from End of Evangelion. It's the song during third Impact.

I would have to say CAT. There are many other good songs, all the ones Hiig mentioned, but I get tired of most of them. I can always come back to CAT. It is the perfect anime piece.

Speaking of Gawl, one of my favorite anime songs is "I Want Out" from Generator Gawl.

But the BEST one has got to be "Blue" from Cowboy Bebop.
(Played it in the last episode when Spike... *sniffle* ...you know.)

And of course ALL the Gravitation songs.

I don't know why just that good JPOP stuff.. :o but the .hack sign songs aren't that bad, alot of techno.

Well, there are many great anime songs from different animations. The Slayers, in my opinion, always had the best songs. I although liked Bubblegum Crisis' original soundtrack. They did a great job composing the music. I liked Vampire Princess Miyu's and Lodoss War's songs because they sounded so calm. Although I liked Bubblegum Crisis 2040 and Gundam's music because it sounded so hardcore. If I had a choice of my favorite anime song, it would be Tenchi Earth Chronicles' Opening theme, or BGC's Konya wa Hurricane.

... thats just funny because its a Frank Sinatra song... but i do love the version(s) in Eva. I mean hey, they used a frikken Mr Big song for the Hellsing end theme.

The Hellsing opening is awesome, same with Boogiepop Phantom, Lain, Eva, Bebop (obviously)
I love Rakuen (paradise) from Trigun... hmm from what ive heard though i might just like the FLCL music best as a whole. On most Anime OSTs ive found a few tracks that i dont like too much mingling around with the other great songs, but FLCL seems consistent as hell.
I cant really pick just one song though

It's way too hard for me to pick any one Megumi song from all of the anime serieses she voiced for.. But my favorite right now is probably "Northern Lights" from Shaman King (I know, it's too new to be as familiar as some of those other ones maybe, but I like it :D )

Hmm....In my personal opinion I would have to say I like "Cruel Angel's Thesis" from NGE, I've always got it in my head, but then I love the ending theme for Nadesico, "Watashi Rashiku" so I really don't know...
