Have anybody played the NGE game on the N64?

Nope. Wish i had though. I can remember when it was previewed in Brit mag N64 Magazine they showed a pic of inside NERV HQ, the caption being something like "This looks like some kind of Battleship".

I didn't know NGE was on the GBC. "Great" I thought, "Now theres something that would be worth importing, seeing as all Game Boy games work on all machines worldwide. I'll just take a look at that preview...."

And its turns out to be Evangelion Mah-Jong. lol! And i was quite excited at the prospect of playing NGE on my Game Boy Colour for a second there:)

I've played it...It's just like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat...Not really my sort of thing.

Squall...Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and I think play stations suck, but I will be getting a Playstation 2...Because it's one of the cheapest DVD players abvalible

I agree with the Commander that everyone is entitled to there own opinion and the Commander voiced his and he is entitled to have it. I, on the other hand:D, I own an N64 and find them fantastic, I hape no opinion on the playstation and I am not giving one. I have a DVD player in my PC and I am not interested in buying a PSX2.
(but that's my opinion)

well, i dont know where to start on this one, but here is my attempt:

N64 does suck, but only because they have no good RPG's

Playstation was good, but had a plethora of crappy games

Playstation 2 will rock, and will work as a DVD player

The Evangelion 64 game sucked. My friend modified his N64 to accept japanese games (you still can't read it though, sorry)and let me play Eva. If you like a bunch of crappy mini games thrown into a really, really, really slow version of Streetfighter, this is your game! However there are some neat options that let you screw around with a "3-D" model of the eva's.

Dammit! Zelda isn't an RPG, it's an adventure game.

The reason N64 has no good RPGs is, the US, for the most part, is not very fond of RPGs, especially mediocre ones, so there was a decline of RPGs as a whole. Also, the reason why they aren't on the N64 specifically, is because Squaresoft wanted more space for their games, and made them for Playstation because they had CDs. However, I've heard that Square is going back to Nintendo for the Dolphin, since they're both using DVDs.

Personally, I don't like the games on the newer systems as much as I did SNES games. Of course, the SNES was the best :)

Well RPG's that go to America, have a even smaller chance of getting to Australia... dont forget about that!

Now the reason N64 failed, it WAS more powerful then the Sony. Looking at a secondary games producing company perspective (cant think of the proper name) it was by far more expensive to make games in a carteridge based format, this scared off many companys from Nintendo. The reason N64 sucked, was the lack of games from the carterage based system. The PS2 is scaring off SOME game companys for the diffciulty in progranmming game, it is very different and have many restrictions on many aspects, although run on a Linux based system. However due to the previous success of the Sony companys will; put up with this. Every Sony fan hopes the numerous updates of the Australian PS2 will be by far more stable then the Japanese model.

The Sega Dreamcast, is good as far as it goes, however Segas tactics of late has been release the system early to interest people, and shock them into buying it, but then dies out from lack of support. Parents get stuck with their kids and their sega so have to keep buying the limited amount of games that get released. But by far the Dreamcast is a second rate machine compared to the Dolphin, PS2, and X-box.

The Dolphin I have read in a magizine has extreme restrictions on its game production. I have heard that many of the aspects of producing a 3d game have been hindered by Nintendos limitaions placed to get all the games in a simple basic level of programming, so all their games a progranmmed using a stadard format... howevere useful for Nintendo reviewing the games and not having to start from scratch each time they begin a game however, limits the creative progress. I have heard but not sure, but isnt the Dolphin and the PS2 not coming with a DVD player in Australia? I cant rememeber if I made that up or what?

X-Box.. is a tank, a behemoth however is a mircosoft product, and thus runs on a MS OS, which of corse makes it very unreliable, the use of the 10 gig hard disk makes it subseptible to virus and programming flaws. The specs releast scare everybody! And MS monetary backing has made the system something to fear. MS is buying out big companys, they have taken ober Bungie (creator of Myth) and remour has it they are after Square! They wont stop.....

Summary... they all suck, get a PC and emulate everything!
