View Full Version : soujirou fans????
well are there any in this board?? i was just curious..also i think he is better than kenshin if kenshin didn't talk with soujirou and messed with sou's mind sou would have won right? also when he fought shishio he was just lucky too that his master taught him the Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki technique or else shishio would have won and if shioshio dind't get well burned he wouls have stil won...man i am bragging.

I liked the character alot, and Soujirou is a damn cool name. I wish he got more screentime.
here's a thought....he can cancel the whole "RUROUNI KENSHIN" name and change it to "RUROUNI SOUJIRO"...with him starring from the day he got beaten (by mindboggler kenshin) to the day he was in his wandering days...a rurouni.

::tries to catch breath::
::resists pulling out his sakabatou and seeing heads fly::
well i have to admit, i am a Soujiro fan.... but not to that extreme!
well soujiro is also a fine fighter, thats why im a soujiro fan :D
hehe... rurouni soujiro??! i could just imagine...
i really like soujiro coz he's so cool. he is a great fighter, i bet someday he could be better than kenshin and beat kenshin in a rematch. :B:
*thinks again...:*
uuhhh... maybe, maybe not. :heh:
well it would be nice to see Soujiro again, though i would prefer to see him fighting alongside Kenshin and the rest of the goodguys - with what has happened, there is no reason for him to fight kenshin once more
he became a rurouni to find some answers right?
yep! and he was last seen headed north! :D
now that he is a rurouni would he become like kenshin? protecting the weak and all?
maybe, but not in the near future i guess... since the first thing he has to do is sort out his feelings - like he said, "to make right a building which was built improperly, you have to destroy everything" (or something like that)
and then there is the seemingly less important aspect which is his sword - remmeber his last sword was broken by kenshin

yeah, i would like to see that. kenshin and soujiro fighting on the same side, they would be hard to defeat. :B:

no not quite ;) to have the two fighting alongside one another would mean that they have a very powerful opponent which will need them to form an alliance :)
hey! I think that Soujiro is great! In fact, I think he could have beaten Kenshin if he had gone all out in the second duel (instead of dithering around)... but that's another issue.
... as to who would ultimately be better, remember, Soujiro, is better (age for age)... if Kenshin were Soujiro's age and they fought...zzzzzt. over gone Kenshin minus head plop!
So this does beg the question, after Soujiro reaches his prime... and he has inner peace... could he beat Kenshin?
I think you could make a case either way... it is that close.

... (spoiler)
that gives me an idea... what if Shishio really did beat the demon lord Enma!! could he come back ... and kick sand in Kenshin's face. You know, I think that Kenshin would be in deep dodo in that scenario.
SamIam
maybe - but i really doubt that enma could be defeated
I fear you are right in that... about enma... but if done right, it could potentially be a barn burner!
(Sigh) grasping at straws to extend the series...

Yep Soujirou could have won but like you said his head was all messed up eventually Soujirou defeated himself coz that was his flaw.
I must add myself to the Sei-juro fans, but what is it about him that people like?
What i like about him is his style, that he is the best and everyone else should look up to him. And whats so amusing is that some times he is right.
Futher things is ofc his swordskill, it is amazing, i think he is the only one capable of defeting kenshin.
And finally, that he picks on kenshin all the time *grin*

Does everybody seem to agree that Soujirou can defeat Kenshin hands down?? What would happen if they went up against each other again?? I really like Sou-chan *my second fav character* but consider the fact...
1.Kenshin went up against Soujirou straight from his fight with Aoshi, sustaining quite a few injuries. If Kenshin was fresh when he went up against Soujirou, can Soujirou still beat him??
2.Kenshin has hands-on experience as a hitokiri.
3.Now that Kenshin has broken through his emotional barrier, that won't be a hinderence to Kenshin anymore. *i.e, Soujirou's moves would now all be anticipated by Kenshin, no matter how fast Soujirou is*
So basically it comes down to a match between Soujirou's Shukuchi and Kenshin's Hiten Mitsurugi Ryu.
Would Soujirou still win?? ^_^
Well dont forget that Seijuro has wandered around Japan quite a while and during these trips he must have gotten alot of experience to. And more, even if kenshin has broken through his emotional barrier why would that help him to anticipate Seijuros moves?
I just realzied that i have made a critical error... so i withdraw everything i previously said on this thread.

So does that mean that you don't want a responce?? ^_^
Yeah, the injuries sustained from Aoshi would have slowed him down, not to mention the fact that his perception would have been off due to the pain

The main reason why Soujiro lost is because Kenshi's philisophy bugged him.
1. Soujiro would still lose coz Kenshi's philosophy and outlook in life bugged hell out of him.
2. Soujiro has been Shishiyo's assasin for almost all his life.
3. The fact that Kenshi broke his emotional barrier is the downfall of Soujiro
There is but one tech. the defeated Soujiro and that is the Amakekeru Ryu no Hirumeki. Even if Kenshi wasnt able to corrupt Soujiro he Kenshi would still win coz Soujiro's Mentality is incorrect which prevented him from performing the Amakekeru Ryu no Hirumeki. Soujiro knows the philosophy behind that move and he did say that he was trying to incorporate it w/ his own sword skills its just thst he never could do it coz his mind was holding him back. However his incorrect mentality made him unpredictable which is his biggest asset.

hey I´m a Soujiro fan, I like him because of the bloody and deadly fighter that hides behind that smile. and besides he´s really a good fighter. I rembember the part where Kenshin does Kusuryuzen and he misses!!!.
But I think it wouldn´t B cool to C him fighting along good guys. because what I like of Soujiro is that he´s a bad one but he has that innocent smile that hides an evil assasin behind it.

Yeah, soujiro isn't really evil, like Shishio or Usui,it's just his philosophy that convinced him he had to kill to survive.
As for the Kenshin vs Soujiro debate,I remind you that Soujiro never used his full Suku-chi and even with his great reflexes,Kenshin was only barely able to block Soujiro's blows.Had Soujiro fought at his full potential he could have killed him on the first try.

The reason why Soujiro couldnt fight properly is becoz Kenshin's philosophy bugged hell out of him and that deep inside he knows that Kenshin is right.
