Slayers...on Fox Kids!?

Escaflowne has been dropped by Fox Kids, and there is some talk about Slayers being picked-up. I'm sure there would be some major cuts to the show, and they'd make one of those crappy openings with scenes spliced together from the show. What do y'all think?

Why do they always pick such serious anime series to show on Fox Kids. There's a lot of good anime made for kids that they could show. But they have to always pick the serious ones and then edit out everything good about it.

Toonami has a good timeslot right after school for the US kids. However I have work and im forced to record most of it..only DBZ and Tenchi. I wish Toonami just replayed all of its lineup on Midnite Run instead of 2 shows. AND BRING BACK THE UNCUT!!

Well, there's no channels that show ONLY anime uncut, but, I know some premium channels (like Cinemax) show anime late night and it's probably uncut.

Yep Yep Rika is right Showtime and cinemax show anime late at night usually on sundays.

Also the action channel shows Blue Seed, GunSmithCats, and OVAs on a regular basis. OVAs like Tekken and Fatal Fury.

Yeah, that's how our cable company's TV Guides are. They're printed, like, a month ahead of time, so, they're not always accurate.

i rented Slayers ( Dubbed i know sucky ) it wasnt to bad i havent seen any Subbed ones so i dont know if there was much of a diff if any one knows tell me , ~_~ I would so watch an all anime channel that would be like heaven or a really good break from reality , Nadesico on TV well thats cool i havent seen any of them but i have read some of the ep lists and background info it seems pretty cool , Ruri looks so cute as a cat hehe
But ya know that if fox got ahold of it even with out it having much adult content in it they would still screw it up just like Nevalna did with Card Captors so that it was aimed more at Guys god Will they ever learn I hope by the time i am 20 Only 4 years to wait , i hope they have come to there sences and realize we have the right to un cut anime

I don't mind some things dubbed, like Ranma, but Slayers dubbed is enough for me to pull my hair out... Never seen Nadesico dubbed, but I don't want to. I only watched anime dubbed on TV when I'm really,really,really, REALLY bored.But when I want quality anime,I get the fansubbed originals.And in a few years after I perfect my japanese I"ll be able to buy the originals directly! :)

Only good thing anime on network television accomplishes is to expose people to something they might not normally watch. Watch enough of it to realize that scenes seem to be jumpy and dialog seems out of place and finally realize the show has been censored. Go out to the store, buy the uncut version and find a whole new world in animation.

Basically.... the networks expose people to anime but ---- THEM OFF SOOOO MUCH that it drives them to go buy it on there own.

I heard Fox was canceling it's Fox Kids programming because of low ratings. If Fox has exclusive rights to show Slayers on TV and it cancels Fox Kids Slayers may basically never be shown on TV in the States.

Well, I can tell you one thing. Don't overeact on the dubbing thing. The Japanese tv station are not overly censored as we are. But soon my children, when we have a loud enough voice we will win.Here is a glimmer of hope for everyone. May it come true cause it will be so freakin cool:D
