Yeh, I actually downloaded the music a few days ago, I really love it!!

lilmisato it isn't in ur local store, because from what I've heard, it aint been dubbed yet, and some anime stores seem to sell only dubs and subs of the more famous series (like evangelion, dragonballz etc)

no, the place i get my stuff from usually has dubbed AND subbed so i don't know what the problem is. thanx for the offer penguin but i live all the way in the us.:heh:

ADV licensed the show about 4-5 months ago, so all the fansubs have been pulled (and ADV has been on the warpath, shutting down a few websites that were distroing digital copies). Far as i can guess, they'll probably just sit on the rights for a while and get around to releasing it when they feel like it. So right now, there is no (legal) US version of Excel Saga ;_;

Scariest thought is how much they'll mess up the fanjokes and parodies.. Half the jokes are from shows that haven't every been released stateside, but there's no plot without them left intact.

I hope they let the rights to that show drop. They'll only lose money cause it's so otaku-only, and it'd be more at home as a fansub (unethical, yeah ^^;).

That's aggravating though.....it's annoying when companies buy rights to shows, don't release them for God knows how long, and then get upset when people don't feel like waiting for a year and buy fansubs. I suppose I don't understand the complex world of marketing anime, but I would think that after they spent the money to buy the rights, they would want to start profiting off of it sooner rather than later....preferably BEFORE all the hard-core Otaku consider it old news already.

I guess those ADV people are just aware of some industry nuance that I'm not :rolleyes:
