If Auska and Shinji are suppose to be the NEW Adam and Eve, what is the Human Race suppose to be like. Scared whinging people who thinks the world is against them

Ok I know this thread was not ment to be serious but I will respond anyway.
OK Asuka and Shinji becoming the New Adam and EVE is only ONE possibility of what happend in EVA.
Also just you mentioned what happend to Pen2 well Instrumentality was for man's evolution. No other creatuire evolved. Pen2 is left with Shinji and Auska.... maybe thats the solution to the incest problem.... errrrrrrr.... forget I said that.

Easy he is male, for when Shinji was bathing in ep 5, Pen2 bathed with Shinji... not with Misato and Asuka.

In the episode ATh is referring to. I could help noticing how that part of Shinji was so tactfully covered up. First, it was Misato's Beer and then she takes it to drink and just behind the beer was a pack of toothpicks.:lol:

Give them a few years... they'd have sex... It's practically a scientific certainty. The human need to reproduce is one of the strongest there is. Asuka would only be able to hold back for so long before she couldn't. Put a man and a woman that can't stand each other on a deserted island with food and water to last a lifetime and no hope of rescue and within a year or two they will have a child more likely than not. That's just the way the human race works. Besides... to say that Asuka hates Shinji is completely absurd in my opinion anyways. She's only 14 years old and probably doesn't understand her own feelings, but with the exception of Kaji, Shinji seems to be the only other person she gives a damn at all about in the series. You don't kiss someone just because you're bored or to kill time... that's just not the way it works. I know this has been talked to death in the past but I wanted to put my two cents in.

Maybe She kissed Shinji because she knew deep down that she couldn't have Kaji, so Shinji would do, and he was the only boy around.
Auska to me seem Power hungry. Kaji and Shinji both had importain jobs, so she went after them.
She didn't go after anyone else because they had no Power.
and I think Auska did tried to flurt with Commander Ikari, or at least tried to make herself seem "happy"
Well I definetly believe that strong love is felt between Asuka and Shinji... actually I dont doubt a spirtual connection between the two.. all thought out the series they expressed their emotions just they both had problems at showing their true feelings. Shinji in his hour of need called for Asuka...

that deep down Asuka is a very sensitive, and caring girl, who feels a need to hide it under a tough exterior so that she doesn't look weak. Sure she can bitch a good fit... she IS German after all, but really I don't even think she's really THAT power hungry. She just wants everyone to acknowledge her as the best because it makes her feel good when they do, like she accomplished something. To show any deep emotions would be a weakness to her, but at the end I think a lot of those walls were broken down. She discovered what really happened to her mother and there were no more evas to kill. The need to keep up the emotional wall really wasn't there anymore, and though after she recovered from seeing the world end as she knew it she'd probably still be arrogant and a bit bitchy, I don't think she'd have a shield around her trying to protect herself from other people. Besides... a lot of the way she was acting can also be attributed to the common traits of 14 year old females (her thinking all boys are pervs and such). Just my insane ramblings after being up all night working.

Yeah of course... she has a very large ego.
I consider Shinji and Asuak to be souls mates, their is loads of evidence to support their relationship I can only think of a few.
A theme I BELIEVE (their ATh) in EVA is that of preformatted events, things are predicted in the Dead Sea Scrolls pridicted events, and such. In the startup song they speak of Destiny.... and how Shinjis is gonna be a saviour... or something "Rise young boy from the heavens like a rising star" or something I never learnt the words to the song, but I remmeber evidence in their. When Shinji saw Rei at the start and the end, I BELIEVE was used to sort of warn Shinji, like a sign that his life will be important, when he first saw her... it was sign that it was beginning... and the last obviously is a sign of the end, or in fact the EoE.
Asuka had feelings for Shinji, now IF Shinji and Asuka are going to repopulate the Earth being one theory of EoE... then I believe it would be a predetermined outcome. Asuka requested to kiss Shinji... and that event was important to her, because she replayed that event during instrumentality. She also flirted with Shinji alot, "What would happen if I warmed up my breasts" Of course this still could be because of her personallity. She didnt know how to express her true emotions, as a child she said she couldnt cry.. and had difficulties as she grew up. She always picked on Shinji, and near the beginning even, very coyly (sp?). However as you said she began losing her self esteem as Shinji's sync ratio increased. However upon the relisation of her mother in Unit-02 her self esteem and sence of self worth was more or less renewed.
In EoE Shinji tried to strangle Asuka... does anybody remmeber why? Was it because that Shinji wanted Asuka's help and everytime he truely needed her, she wasnt their and didnt give any support. Also that scene where Asuka spills the coffee on Shinji has got to be metaphorical..... dont know how yet, Shinji experience pain at the hands of Asuka???. When they awoke upon the beach, Shinji continued to strangle her but stopped upon the sensation of her caring touch, she finally was expressing a true emotion instead of a made up one. So sorry to put in a cliche "The silence spoke volumes" can be applied here. So was Rei and Asuka that very different, they both had feelings, but both had extreme difficulties expressing them. So yeah I definetly believe Asuka and Shinji are in love... I think every since the first time they ever met. It only took them time to actually admitt it to themselves. But thats the hedgohogs dilemma for ya....
Sorry this is a little messed up, probably not even logically structured... so I will take Annos stance again... "If you cant understand it (my writing) its not my problem" hehehehehehe.

Yeah I think that Asuka is weak because she feels as if she must be independent, but because of this independence, she believes she must not rely on anyone. This makes her lonely, however instead of solving this lonelyness she just makes things worse because of her attitude and ego by trying to beat anyone and "To show the world how great she is" for she believes if she does this, she will be happy... but realistically she is just getting more lonely, relying more and more on her personal tallent, and as soon as that failed because shinji was "hogging the spotlight" she sunk heavily into depression. So would not let anyone truelly into her heart, for they might disocver she actually is flawed, so she feared failure, because she believe success was all their was to live for.

This "Adam and Eve/Shinji and Asuka" thing is pretty vague. How did Asuka survive the Eva Series attack, or maybe Shinji asked to ressurect her. There's also the possibility that Shinji had possessed the powers of God, since was once in the center of the "Tree of Life". Remember when one of those SEELE monoliths says "Now the fate of the world is in the hands of Ikari's child", or something like that? He wishes for everyone to die becouse nobody loves him. Yet, Asuka survives. Why? Perhaps he wanted her to survive.
If you look at the details of that scene, you'll see Rei's regular bandages in Asuka. What does it mean? Maybe she's a mix up of both, i don't know. What about that Rei that appears over the beach staring at them?
That's why I think EVA is the best anime ever made, those people at GAINAX made it so guys like us would be full of doubts, doomed for a life of pain and slow self-destruction, until we ar locked up in a sanitarium. ^_^"

I am not in favour of the concept of Shinji and Asuka being the new Adam and Eve (but I havnt decided yet) but it is plasible, I will defend it. Why is the world of LCL.... only a little is... woopy do.... its not like their are rivers of it, and what do you mean where would they eat, anywhere they wanted to, off trees hunt animals... Animals never merged in 3rd Impact, it was the instrumentality of man, plants never died, some are seen on the beach where Shinji and Asuka are. So what if their is cross shaped Eva's, before this man lived with an angel in antartica and numerous others scattered about Earth.

Yes I believe Shinji possed power as great as a God, I believe that the greatest power in the universe is that of Creation and Deesctruction and thats all Really possess as well. He created man... it had problems, he cant fix it, so he killed them, created them again, and has warned us in Revelation that he will wipe us out again. Shinji possessed this power which would govern mankinds existence.

Yeah I think he willed Asuka to that beach with the power, or even God returned her their, She was the only person who didnt see an image of Rei before she died. Also it has been argued that since Shinji and Asuka were the only two people in EVA's, they were protected by them, thats why they were saved.

?????????????????? before Asuka was dumped into her EVA.. under Misatos commands, she was in Hospital, Rememeber ep 24, "Who piloting Unit-02, nobody... its unmaned...where is the pilot.... shes in hospital, I have confirmed it" Bandages are seen wrapped around her arms then..... so instead of taking off her bandages they just stuck her in her plug suit, and then into the EVA.... jeeze, I think your trying to make it seem harder than it really is... lol

Well I have said this a few times on this board now, but what the hell, I BELIEVE that their is destiny in EVA, I believe what happend was fate and could not be altered, a way either from God or even Anno himself (or in my oppion the same thing... lol) symbalising the beginning and the End of EVA, Shinji as soon as he arrives in Toyko-3 it was a way of warning either Shinji and the audience that of the struggle Shinji will have, and what is to come, and the ending one, was simbolic to define the end. I dont think their is any literal meaning behind it, I dont think it really IS Rei, and I think that seeing Rei at the start and the end, is not related to seeing Rei when you die (except that they are both Rei...lol)

'kay Access, i get your point. But Asuka wasn't wearing bandages when she was piloting. She's not a mix up of both Rei and Asuka, sure, but there's something weird on that.

She was weariong a plug suit.... the plug suit was placed over Asukas clothing AND bandages. Rememeber when Shinji *censored* over Asuka, she was wearing in hospital with bandages on.... lol

Really, the "cencered" bit really didn't have to be in the Movie.
There are other ways of having Shinji show how much her thought Auska was attrictive. Maybe Shinji holding Auska hand and saying "Please don't die on me Auska".
That scene only showed that Shinji was a Horny little Teenager

Shinji has always been afraid of being hurt like his father hurt him so long ago. As a result he has closed himself off from other people. Living in a mental prison of his own creation he can't and won't let anybody know how he feels. This makes any attempt to get to know him pointless and any attempt at getting close to him impossible. Shinji is a distubed individual he has killed the one person who he understood fully he is fears Rei because of knowing that it is not the REAL thing... he fears Misato because he wont let anyone get close to him. Shinji had no respect for himself because he believed that if anyone really got to know him they would hate him.. and that was somthing he feared. This was brought on from such a low level of self esteem believeing he is not worthy... that he is onyl worthy if he pilots EVA.
His self esteem sunk to the lowest possible when hje mastubated over Auska he knew he was pathetic doing it... and thought he was better off to be dead. Shinji has faced more than any other person I know he has seen his mother die, he thought he had killed Touji each day was a knew horrific ordeal... he hated himself, he had anger, pain suffereing and could nothing about it. As Misato said "What is this curse they call EVA which corrupts the life of everybeing it meats.
The point of the scene was emphaisise this point that he is a character suffereing, in any other show a person who has gone through such ordeals do not sink to such levels, they are heros, however Shinji is expressed as a 14 year old boy, know different from any other... the sad truth is if I had faced many of the things Shinji had faced, I would not of been strong enought to handle it. The seen is important, shows the true human nature, and expresses and emphasises Shinjis depression.
