Oh joy, a speculation thread ! ^_^
So from what you've seen so far where do you think Naraku is hiding ? Go nuts, make wild accusations ! The more and bigger leaps the better !

I heard some assumptions that he is hiding in Kagome's age...
That's why Kikyou and all the others can't feel him...
It might be an interesting development.
The problem with this assumption is that he probably doesn't know about Kagome being from the future or about the well...
though he might have been spying...
Another problem is that most people can't go through the well, so it's not very likeable that Naraku can...
I'm not so sure Takahashi has even decided where Naraku dissappeared. The only thing we know is he's very far, so I'm guessing either out of Japan feudal age, modern day, or another time alltogether like Japan 50 years from current (who says the well is the only time travelling thing in Takahashi-land?).

Oroo. o.O;;
Are there just few replies or have a lot of people not seen episode 81 and up ?
Well this is the first I've heard of a time travelling Naraku .. Interesting though.
I kind of think he is in plain sight. It seems rather stupid to me that Takahashi hasn't thought this bit out. Well that and I refuse to believe I'm so easilly entertained ^^;;.
On a small side note the Kouga - Ayame plotline seems quite undeveloped. Why did she come to take Kouga as her husband again ? ^_~
Ayame is a clear sign that Takahashi is intending to get the series wrapped up. As in Ranma½, she's adding a few characters (like Akari and Konatsu in Ranma½) to make sure every character gets a happy ending with their love and so on. It's all nice and cute, even though a wee bit predictable.

hehe...
Now she just needs to find a mate for Kikyo and Hojo-kun and everything would end up just fine ;) ...
btw
from a look at this (http://www.wot-club.org.uk/Inuyasha/) site, it seems that Ayame doesn't exsist in the Manga, or at least not in that part of the story...
(the site has almost all the Manga script translated in English)

Indeed Kykyo could find him first, and if you're excited about 87 being subbed I've spotted 88 as well.
Anyway the reason I brought up Ayame was, she was getting Kouga to marry her because some great Jaki caused the wolf packs to turn on each other in the mountains. They needed Kouga's (pack's) strength to survive. I wonder what's generating such a great Jaki.. Such a great evil Jaki...

Yes, at the end of p 87 Kikyo kinda hints about where she thinks Naraku might be hiding, but I've watched ep 88 and they don't really reveal anything. :/
Yeah, it did seem like a filler to me too. It's ownage will definetly only be like 13% of that of the previous episode.

Actually, the plot of episode 88 was in the Manga so it's not the bad kind of filler.
I actually really enjoyed it...
It was very funny, and it had a nice Inuyasha-Kagome moment. And they did find something about where Naraku might possibly been hiding... Surigami-sama said he felt an immense Jaki over the village heading in a certain direction and that it dissapeared soon after...
Now the group know more or less where to look, and not just Kikyou.
They had to find it out somehow, so why can't they be involved in a nice funny story before finding.
Although, AFAIK, the next episode is going to be a filler too ( :( ...), they are heading towards some very dark episodes so I guess they need some contrast before finding Naraku...

So I take it there's no chance in the seven hells that the series ends with InuYasha NOT with Kagome...well, I'm slightly dissapointed about that. (I'm wierd ain't I?)
Actually, my ideal pairing would be Kagome and Sesshomaru and InuYasha and Sango. Miroku would get that one freaky 15 year old girl with the freakles.
As to where Naraku is well, he COULD be in Kagome's time. He has spies everywhere, and they could have followed Kagome to the well one time and heard her talking or something.
But there's one problem with that. I haven't seen the whole series (Several episodes out of each season and I know most of the main storyline) Aren't Kagome and InuYasha the only ones who can sucessfully go down the well alone? Could soumone tell me if I'm wrong?
Actually it's already been revealed where he went in the manga and hinted in the anime, it's not the modern time.
As for the well, I'm not sure Takahashi made a rational explanation for it. She probably just decided the two people who need to go there can go there and ditched rationality again. Not that we mind or anything of course. :p
Definetly not my ideal pairing, you'd be tearing the existing couples appart and thrusting them to people they aren't that intrested in. I never did like Takahashi's habit of getting every single character paired up for a happy ending to begin with, though.
Also, I do believe the cliche is nine, not seven hells. :P
