Characters special abilities

I'm sort of confused at what kind of powers the characters have, they seem to reveal their powers when they sort of really need them.

Now, Washu and Ryoko are both Demons and Washu is stronger then Ryoko.
Tenchi has the power of Tsunami now. right? And that his sword is pretty much useless forthe time being.

Aeyka, I don't know, Has some kind of power. Could someone explain. Does she have a key tool like Tenchi?

Sasami, I know I read that she can see the future sometime. NOw about the big tree and the deal with Sasami. How is it when you see the person(Tsunami)you can also see Sasami in Tsunami's reflection. Did she need a body to occupy or something other than that?

Ryoko and Washu deamons?

Unlikely, there are many races in the Tenchi universe, if anything Washu appears to be on par with Tsunami, and Lady Tokimi, in that she may be a goddess.

No Ryoko is stronger than Washu, but only when she has all three gems. In fact with all three gems she is more powerful than the Light Hawk Wings.

The Royal family of Juri, Aeka, Sasami, also have various powers related to Tsunami. All defensive (ina way, but so are the Light Hawk Wings).

Sasami is in fact Tsunami as well, thus she is the First Tree, and the source of all the Juri power.

OVA:
Ryoko is a Deamon, created by Washu. She is indeed powerful, but she in no way surpasses Washu, even with the power of the gems, because Washu still has some control over them, even if she doesn't fully comprehend their power. Washu is one of the "Three Goddesses" of this branch of Tenchi, the other two being Tsunami and Tokimi. As I've heard it speculated, there were three gems for each of the three Goddesses, their meaning, however, wasn't explained. At some point, there seemed to be a sort of conflict regarding the power of the gems. In "present" Tenchi, each of the Three have allied themselves with something regarding the gems:
Washu has figured out how to tap their power, and created Ryoko to do just that, and further explore their usage.
Tokimi believes that Washu knows the secret of the gems, and tries to find her.
Tsunami allied herself with (and may very well be a part of) the Juraian Royal Family, because they have the ability to control the power of the gems. It would seem through each generation, Tsunami is reborn as a member of this family, who is, in this case, Sasami.

~in the other series, the gems don't seem to play all that much of a major factor.~

TV Series 1:
Ryoko is a Space Pirate, with _evidently_ Supernatural abilities, as is Washu. Washu is described as a "Demon" but is also, like Ryoko, a being with non-human abilities. Tsunami and Sasami are the same, but weren't originally. As a young child, Sasami was resurrected by Tsunami, and this took Tsunami becoming a part of Sasami.

Pretty Sammy:
The character relations really aren't developed beyond Sasami. I'd venture to say that Ryoko and Aeka have the same basic relation as they do in the first TV Series, and Washu is basically a Mad Scientist at the age of 12.

TV Series 2:
Ryoko is, again, a space pirate, with the same abilities, but Washu is _just_ a mad scientist, who was working in league with Ryoko.

After all this, there's still the Manga, which is a bit of a compilation...
