i am recording El Hazard from the I channel on to tape and i almost ran out of room. after episode 6, my tape had approximately 41 minutes left. according to a website, i found that has some anime reviews, it stated that the first episode of El Hazard was 50 minutes and the rest were 25 minutes long. i figured, this website is pretty accurate considering it mentioned the episode difference from the first episode and the other episode. it turns out that episode 7 was a double length episode, and i was hoping that it would fit on my tape. luckily it did, but my tape ran out room for the ending credit song though. i had a slight feeling that it would be a double length episode, but i relied too much on the information of that website.

Yes, the El Hazard DVD release is excellent. It's much like the Tenchi Muyo OVA1/OVA2 box set. Both have great image and sound quality.

i like the series but i don't like it that much. i'll just stick to the I-channel and recording on to tapes. it is not going to be as clear as the DVD but as long as i get to see the episodes when i want to, i'll be happy.
