How different is it from the anime?

The anime is absolutely brilliant and I can't really see it being in manga form right now :|

I don't know, I've read some of it in the Tokyopop manga sampler, but sadly, the first graphic novel comes out in America sometime in January.

the anime is based of the first 8 volumes of the manga...i have to get the rest of it so i can finally have some closure, but it is supposed to be very good

I have the first translated GN from Tokyopop. And checked the blurbs for the upcoming issues 2 (should be coming out soon) and 3.

The anime seems to follow the first issue very closely but more expanded.

The second issue is supposed to have the school authorities breaking up the two. The third will introduce Asapin. But IIRC, in the anime, Asapin is introduced before the breakup attempt right?

Also the manga is still not finished in Japan. It is only I think up to the 13th tankubon and is still being published in Fancy Lala (is that the correct?).
