i agree, it's not for everyone, i like the first episode, it set up a nice story and mystery, but then nothing ever happen, it's boring as heck! my brother seen and liked all 26 eps, i don't know how he stand through all that
im with heero on this one... looked pretty cool at first, but i couldnt stand nothing really happening after 11 episodes, so i stopped watching it

Well I was reading the December Issue of Newtype and there was alot of hype surrounding the series, so I have high hopes for the series.:) The game itself looked outstanding, so I just can't wait for this to be released.:D

yes, hack sign is massively popular in japan. cant say the same though for the US...
(although i love this series to death)
I'm with Heero and Sylvan on this one.
The first episode was interesting, the concept was great, but they did nothing with it! If Noir is snore than hack is um well it starts with c ;)
ACE2001 IMO you already have the best thing about .hack//sign (the osts). The actual use of the music in the series is not so good imo since the bgm volume drowns out the voices of the characters at times. It has volume issues. I know the director of .hack//sign ssaid he did it because he was experimenting but not all experiments are a success.
The characters were also a bore except for Sora (the one with Green hair, I remembered his name correctly didn't I?).
If Animaze do the dub for .hack//sign Johhny Young Bosh the voice of Vash from Trigun would be perfect for him.
Even though I don't think that much of hack
Still More Detail on US .hack//SIGN Release
Bandai (http://www.animeondvd.com/specials/hack/index.htm) has released a
tentative image (http://www.animeondvd.com/images/other/dothackpromo.jpg) of the .hack//SIGN TV series DVD 1 limited edition and revealed the full contents of the limited edition boxed set. The $59.98 set will include the first TV series DVD, a plush "grunty" doll, a .hack//INFECTION PS2 video game demo disc, an exclusive .hack//SIGN postcard set, exclusive .hack//SIGN sticker and an exclusive .hack//SIGN T-shirt.
Bandai are really going all out with this release but with the videogame to tie into the anime why wouldn't they. This will outsell ADV's Noir easily even when it get's shown on the Anime Network.
Taken off AOD
Bad News:
.hack//SIGN Limited Edition Box has a new revised SRP: $64.98
Good News:
.hack//SIGN Limited Edition Box will also include the CD Soundtrack

The dub is being done by Gaijin Productions not animaze.
Stupid Bandai Gaijin are crap.
Oh wait they are probably cheaper than Animaze I understand now.
To tell ya the truth I would have preferred Ocean Studio's to Gaijin nd their usually Bandai's cheap studio, while they splash out on Animaze for some big ttitles.

yea I only thought Gaijin would be mostly used by Manga Ent and sometimes by ADV for dub continuality on Blueseed 2 and Burn Up Xcess til I saw that they were doing .hack//SIGN. I dont think Bandai is treating this like a cheap title though.
I know but going with Gaijin over Animaze seems strange to me, most of their big titles they give to Animaze.
Ah why do I care I'm not even going to get this, though Limited Edition Volume 1 is tempting I doubt that will come out to Australia.

Gaijin isnt doing .hack//SIGN, PCB productions (http://forums.animeondvd.com/dcboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=15&topic_id=7546&mesg_id=7546&page=) is. Amanda Winn Lee is just doing the voice for Mimiru. the only thing im kinda ticked about is they're going with Crimson Knights, instead of Scarlet Knights :(
