RahXephon Dub Cast

I'll just make it a separate thread since not everyone is a dub fan.

Anyway here's the characters that have been cast. Please note that that these are PROBABLES. Not all of the actors have been contacted yet, and there may be scheduling conflicts that cannot be resolved. It's taken from this thread on AOD (http://forums.animeondvd.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=15&topic_id=7020) btw.

ADV's real smart for casting voice actors without auditioning them, no wonder their voice actors dont have range:eek:

I still haven't actually seen RahXephon, so I can't comment on the casting choices other than "oh, I like that actor!" or "oh, I despise that actor!". I will say though that the former outnumbers the latter, so yay for that.

Tiffany Grant would not have suited any of the major female characters in the show, she should go well as Kim even though I don't really like her voice acting. (Couldn't stand her Asuka).

Anyway for what it's worth here's my thought on the casting of it so far.

Ayato Kamina - Chris Patton

First off it's not Spike Spencer so I'm happy. I've only heard Chris Patton in 2 roles so far and they are Daley Wong in BGC2040 and Yui in Spriggan. I can't really remember the voice but it didn't annoy me. For anyone who has seen the Princess Nine dub (which I heard was real good) how's his voice acting for Seishiro Natsume.

Mamoru Torigai - Vic Mignogna

I have no idea about this guy since the only anime I've seen him in (Sin) is something I would rather forget. Once again if anyone's seen Princess Nine is characters Hiroki Takasugi, hows he go with that role?

Isshiki Makoto - Illich Guardiola

Haven't heard a thing by him and he's never had a major role in a dub before.

Jin Kunugi - John Gremillion

Only heard him as Nigel from BGC2040 and Admiral Munatake from Nadesico (Eddy's fav character :P). His voice will definately have to be more Nigel than Munatake.

Souichi Yagumo - Mark Laskowski

Voiced Jun in Nadesico, should go well in this role unless directed wrongly by Matt Greenfield (always a chance of that happeneing)

Itsuki Kisaragi - Jay Hickman

Voiced Nagare Akatsuki from Nadesico should do ok just doesn't have to sound as confident.

bah can't be stuffed doing the rest, summing up they made some good choices and hopefully it's as good as Excel Saga dub.
