3 stooges

Who were the 3 stooges and in what way did Shinji, Touji and Kensuke resemble them?

I think the 3 stooges are supposed to be common knowledge but I still haven't got it yet. :confused:

The three stooges were a comedy trio way back before i was born. Sor tof like most people say elvis is the king, even though to me his music sucks, ok it was cool for his day, but crap now.

The stooges are sort of a hang over like that. How they resemble the boys of NGE, well they dont in any way i have ever seen the stooges.

I guess it is just a saying, one which has no real meaning, but implies stupidity in one form or another.

The 3 stooges were a bunch of funny people and in NGE, SHinji, Touji and Kensuke are called the 3 stooges because asuka and her friend which i forgot her name, call them clowns

im not sure whether this relates to when Misato is or is not around but....

wow... someone not familiar with the antics of curly, larry and moe! well they were a comedy trio that did very corny jokes, and alot of slapstick comedy. their trademark was poking each others in the eyes and getting hurt by doing very stupid things.

it applies to the 3 boys because they are a trio that also act stupid in asuka's point of view.(especially in the presence of mistato) and therefore they are compared to the three stooges.

since most of you guys are in austrailia they must not have many old reruns, but over here in america they appear on tv almost weekly. the 3stooges were on tv a LONG TIME ago. my dad used to watch them when he was a kid and thet were old then, from back in the 40s. but i guess they were dubbed into japenesse

The 3 stooges are Larry, Curly and Moe (everyone’s fave is Curly, that’s in a lot of American movies + sitcoms)
Anyway Touji, Kensuke and Shinji get that nickname from the girls, I think it’s fitting ‘cos they do act like a bunch of fools sometimes (mainly ogling Misato). Anyway they don’t physically resemble them (one was bald, one had like a bowl hair cut) they just act like stooges.
