Mika: Oh your Alone. I thought someone was in here
Lain: Someone else, who?
Mika: Lain, you know who I'm talking about. Your little imaginary friend.
Now if this happen later than episode 2, I might no query who Lain was talking to, but since it's so early on, then I'm not sure. I think that it might be Chisa. Because in episode 1 where Lain gets an email from Chisa, she asks her questions in which she responds, which would suggest that it's an advanced chat program. But then Chisa only contacted Lain on time (Except for the time very late in the series). And I don't think the Knights would have contacted her by then. So who was Lain talking to when Mika walked in on her. Who is Lain's Imaginary Friend???
