If you look at that first pic, Rikku has a weapon in both hands. I hope that means that she can do two attacks in the game. But do you think Rikku is on a Mission or she going to the beach? I hope she doesn't wear that if she goes to Mount Garzet. But by then, they might have the Dress Up option on at that point.

Uh, yeah, some of these costumes look like they came from an avant-garde freak show. I'm fearing this will turn out to be a fanservice-only game, but I won't pass judgement until people actually play it and the reviews come out. Am I the only one who thinks Rikku's hair looks better in FFX than it does in FFX-2?

Can you carry your old FFX data over to this game? I spent so much effort and time getting the final weapons and now it seems that I can't use them in FFX-2 :bawling:

Remember the movie 'Twister'? Where about the only reason for the rival group being evil was they drove black vans?

I developed a theory after watching anime for a while that it is a general trend that in anime anyone who has purple hair or dresses in purple is evil (just watch noir for the best example).

Team rocket er...' rival sphere team' is purple = evil.

I think the images look very good, as in the graphics, etc and still seem to keep some of the FFX style to them, particularly the Al Behd.

Ever since I first saw that promotional poster of Yuna however, I've not liked the way the characters are being portrayed (in particular Yuna, who is more a sweet innocent Aeris type, rather than a sexual show all type). I tend to agree with what The Captain says with the fanservice thing. It's definately aimed at "males" out there. Although I kind of think that I will get used to the outfits, I would hope that the mentioned "dress up" feature will actually let the characters dress more like they are in FFX rather than looking like they are trying to impress males all the time.

Then again, game play is a lot more important, and as a fan of both RPG and action/adventure games, I do think I will enjoy this next FFX installment.

Nice pictures. Although the battling system looks more traditional FF or perhaps Kingdom Hearts style rather than the kind used in more action/adventure games.

I think the images of Yuna with Tidus are possibly from one of the spheres that she has collected. As she is wearing her outfit from FFX and not the skimpy outfit from FFX-2.

After looking around (mainly around the officicial FFX-2 website), it seems that the costume change option might be an actualy very important aspect of the battle system. In a page where they seem to explain a bit about the battle system, I've seen Yuna use a command in battle that changed her costume and put a huge sword in her hands (and I've seen the same for Rikku, with the same sword, in the screenshots that someone posted earlier), and I've also seen a screenshot of Yuna in the traditional White Mage outfit. So well, this is only a supposition but it surely looks like it.
