OUCH. One AM?! :eek2: I can't believe that the crazy people in charge of programming would do such a thing. Maybe they're going to have reruns on at that time.

EDIT: According to the Cartoon Network website, Inu-Yasha's going to be playing in January at 12.30 am, Monday to Thursday nights. I guess this starts up January 13. December 28th will be the last time it plays on a Saturday night.

Hmmm... one episode four nights a week... but 12.30? Grrr... looks like my VCR's going to get a lot of use in January.

Well, assuming you want an answer to this question...

VCRs are pretty darn cheap right now. Sam's Club/Wallmart/Target/Best Buy have them at much less than $100.00. So, just pick up another one...

(It's too bad that electronics don't seem to last as long as they used to. I've actually been shopping the big sales for "spares" for when things break down...)

Now is the time to put all these falsehoods to rest.

According to this..
The new Adult Swim lineup starts Jan. 13, and the lineup consists of

(not in order, mind you)

Inuyasha will be shown at 12:30 am eastern time

Is is doing good. They just want to put the comedy stuff(Futurama :D, and home movies) first, Since it's still early and the kiddies may still be watchin', then the new series, Lupin III, then the two continuing series, Inuyasha first for better ratings, then Yu Yu, then everyone's favorite, Cowboy Bebop.

there is a method to their madness.

I heard somewhere. I could be remembering this wrong, mind you, but I think I read that parents were complaining about their children staying up late on Saturday night to watch the Adult Swim action shows and this may have influenced CN's decision to move Adult Swim to weekday late nights (because the little kids have school and can't stay up as late). What's to stop them from videotaping it and watching it later like I do, I don't know, but I think it's pretty bad that parents would rather complain to the television networks and make them change their schedule than to take some control and responsibility for what their kids watch. So yeah, apparently there was a reason for the move and I suppose the ordering does make some sense, too. BTW, since I'm writing, is it just me or do the main female characters (Kagome, Kikyo, and now Sango) all look rather similar, at least in the full front face view?

Takahashi is known for a distinctive style that makes a lot of her characters look alike. Many will tell you that Inu-yasha is just Ranma with longer, silver hair.

There is some difference though. I can recognize Sango even when her hair is down. She also looks considerably different when she's mad for some reason. Kagome and Kikyo are supposed to look alike, Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo.

Exactly. American Parents who compalin about that are stupid and lazy, and don't want to raise their own children.

shame on CN for giving in.

ehh..
but I doubt that was the whole reason...Midnightrun has gotten really sucky lately....with Gi Joe....
Maybe they did it to replace that AND because of the parents?
i dunno.

i agree with the both of you, I now have to waste a tape a night taping inuyasha and other shows, because they moved it to weekdays, and i have to get some sleep. I don't think this was one of their smarter moves. If anything the parents shouldn't be complaining about the time, but that it's even on. (i'm not suggesting that they should) but i think it's all just dumb, and CN should move back to sat.:redhot:

Parents were complaining? Well, that's news to me. Why should they complain? I mean, they cut out all the bad parts.
Well, anyway I wish they would put it back on Saturday. It was a reason for me to stay up late, now there's just no reason...:( And I can't stay up that late on the weekdays!!! And I never have enough time in the morning to watch all of the shows I tape!!

Like I said, I could have been remembering things wrong, but I think I did read that parents were complaining. *shrug* I can't stay up until 2am every weekday either, so I tape the shows. The way I work them into my schedule without really losing a lot of time is to watch the first hour (Lupin and Inuyasha) while I eat breakfast and get ready for the day then watch the second hour (Yu Yu Hakusho and Cowboy Bebop) over dinner. Actually, since I tape G Gundam, too, I watch that before the second hour of Adult Swim shows, but you get the idea. I don't mind doing the taping, I regularly tape some other programs anyway and have been for a long time. It's just trying to make sure I watch it the next day so that I don't have like a whole tape (8 hours) of shows to watch over the weekend. Not that that would necessarily be bad, but it takes up a lot more time at once than watching things day by day.
