What are Symbols Objectives? Are they the same as the Gowa Family's. Does Symbol want to be with the God, Gasaraki? Or are they after something else???

From what I gathered, Symbol, or rather the CEO of Symbol, simply wished to return to Gasara and surrender to death, something he was unable to do, being a Kai (or rather The Kai).
Gowa's objective, and I speak primarily of the eldest Gowa son, can't remember his name at the moment, was to summon Gasara, and unite with it or something, basically, to become a God.
So while Gowa desired power, the Symbol guy merely wished to return to Gasara, and die/rest, weary as he was of wandering the world for these many millenia.
At least that's what I gathered. Mind you I've only watched the series once through, though I plan on seeing it all again soon.
Almost...
Gowa wanted to become a Kai...
In the end Symbols and Gowa's objectives were compleat and utter oppersites...
Not that it mattered as they both acheved their targets...

I thought that Gowa wanted to become a Kai in order to summon/unite with Gasaraki and to gain the power of a God, not to just merely become a Kai, because it seemed that once he realised that he was not a Kai i nthat flashback, he would go to other means in order to achieve the same outcome that he wished to achieve if he had in fact been a Kai.
You cant become a Kai, you are a Kai, there isnt a way to get the power. Thats what the gowa family was attempting to do sorta. They were trying to make ordinary people Kai in order to see basically what happens (1) and prolong their time in the 'fakes' (2).
Only the Kai can summon the Gasaraki and the Gowa family are decendents of the Kai, which is why they have Kai in the family.
Symbol guy wanted to join the Gasaraki and become like them. The Gowa family wanted to wield them as a weapon like the Kai did in the past.

If your objective is just to make normal people a Kai then what's the use? I mean apart from being a good pilot and being about to hop into the Kugai then there seems to be no reward in their whole objectives. I mean a Kai isn't a God is it? So what's the use if you can die? I don't think that Kazukiyo went through all of that trouble just to become a Kai, He wanted the Power of God or at least the power of Gasaraki.

He was making other people Kai or trying to, as like test subjects, once he figured out he could do it, then he would do it to himself then control the gasaraki.(That is even if you can control the gasaraki, its a good chance that the kai can mearly summon the gasaraki and thats what they did, and thereby they were awarded with the kugai). And yes, he went through all of that so he COULD ascend to where the gasaraki were. However, he fails. In the end they could never make anyone a Kai.
