Keiko is Yusuke's girlfriend, but she doesn't know about the spirit world or anything like that. (at least in the ones I've seen) Botan is always sending Yusuke on his next mission and helping him and stuff like that. So I would say Botan.

Botan so far, Kayko and Kuwabara's Sister(forgot her name) made Botan take them to the Dark Tournament the Terminator looking Toguro insisted they compete in. You never know though, Kayko could become the main female char now that she knows about the Spirit World.

Depending which area of the series you look at, either or both of them could be considered the female lead. Personally, I think Botan has an overall larger, more important role than KEIko does... but Keiko has done a few pretty important things for the series too. It's a matter of opinion.

i say botan. theres not really a main female charachter because the guys have the main roles. but botan is around more so thats y i say her.

For this series, there's no "main" female character. So if they are regular in the show then they're considered the lead female characters. That means Botan, Keiko, Genkai, Shizuru and Yukina are YYH's female lead characters. And female characters like Atsuko, Shiori, Koto, Juri, Hina, Rui, Mukuro and some others are just the sub characters.

I say Botan b/c well, she's like the 5th main character after Yusuke,Kurawbara,Kurama and Hiei. If it weren't for her who would send Yusuke missions or would have been there to keep Kayko from turning into a Monster and who would fight the Zombies and bugs while Yusuke was fighjting Suzaku? Kayko is the 2nd main female but Botan is the Main
