i didnt bother using the "Yet, Another anime to premiere on Adult Swim" thread since it got too long...that, and being the huge .hack fan that i am :D

anyhow, check this out (http://schedule.cartoonnetwork.com/servlet/ScheduleServlet?action=GO&theDate=2/1/03&timeZone=EST). the Date is February 1st at 3 pm. the bad thing though is it looks like its a Saturday Toonami Exclusive. but hey, at least its on tv

i know, although i heard they may keep the OP ("Obsession") since it *might* be a Toonami Saturday exclusive.

anyhow, .hack//SIGN will literally be uncut, ive seen the whole series, nothing is questionable at all, they dont even show characters being hit by swords...anyhow, the thing im looking forward too is the dub and the translation (i already know they're using Crimson Knights instead of Scarlet Knights).

btw, contrary to what people believe, .hack//SIGN is not being dubbed by Gaijin, Amanda Winn Lee (Rei from Evangelion, and the main charavter from Blue Seed) only voices Mimiru. the series is being done by PCP (or was it PCB?) productions.

Rats, I was hoping to hear that whiny shrill meets nails on chalkboard howl that is the voice of Tiffany Grant on national television!

btw, i forgot one little thing. CN hasnt updated their February and March schedules yet, so no one knows if this showing is a one time 'sneek-peak' only deal or a regular. we'll know by at least next week. but im pretty sure it'll be a regular.

lol, i wont hold my breath though, PCB Productions were the ones who re-cast Tiffany Grant for Burn Up Excess.

im so pre-ocupied with this news, i forgot that Lupin III and new Inu YAsha are premiering next monday!

and also, i noticed something..., .hack//sign marks the debut of Yuki Kajiura's music on US TV! im betting a hundred bucks ADV will capitalize on that with Noir (even though noir was first)

Yeah from what I've seen of hack I doubt it would be cut unless they did it because of time contraints like how Inuyasha has it's opening cut for AS.

And Yuki Kajiura is great, Key Of Twilight and the Gundam SEED ending are her best songs imo.

info: the show will be kept in widescreen. dont quote me on that though, all this was based mainly on bandai not re-formatting a pan and scan format :D

Ya know, I thought the speed and timing of shows being shown in japan coming out to other commercial industries was fast... but the turn around time to commercial tv (to me at least) is rather fast... almost to the point of disturbing.

Sure Toonami is bad, but for some of us who don't have jobs; its good enough. Anyways, .hack//SIGN looks awesome from what few sites have enough information on it to understand what its about.

Also someone asked why not take a chance showing subs instead of dubs, simple the general American viewers don't want to read damned subtitles. Knowning this, its not taking a chance its just being plain stupid. If thats the case why even bother subtitling it? Just play it in Japanese, in all seriousness dubs aren't really as bad as they use to be.

the .hack//SIGN commercial on CN aired yesterday, you should be able to see the promo over at toonamiarsenal.com

as for the dub, i like Tsukasa's voice (Briane Siddal), they barely showed clips from the dub, butfrom what the yshowed, it was pretty good, but i'll reserve me real judgement when i see a whole episode of the dub next week
