My MKR mistery

I have a mistery that I am trying to solve, but internet surfing just doesn't cut it. I have some strange pictures that are definately from an anime, but not from anything I've ever seen. :confused:

I own both series and the OVA (in english) and these things aren't in any of them. Some of these pictures, however, also look like their from an introduction, having the Japanese characters for credits and song. The others look like they came out of a series themselves (mostly the 2nd). -- Definately not OVA.

My question: is there any difference between the English and the Japanese anime versions? Is there another intro to the series that's skipped or something? One of the reaccuring themes seems to be glowing orbs, to. :hmmm:

Have i......missed something?

Well, the MKR girls appeared in the short "music-video" film "Clamp In Wonderland", maybe these screenshots are from this? I could tell for certain if I saw them.

because I'm still kinda confused about the image posting here, I'm only going to put up this first one described...

1. the one of Hikaru with her hair down and the black/green orb makes NO sense to me. :confused:

Now...the one of Umi...there are ones just like it with Hikaru and Fuu. They look like they're "freeze frames" that move accross the screen (like the ending to the second series), but my friends have the others. These, I think, are the coolest. The girls are wearing the outfits only seen in CLAMP manga art books--never in the series anywhere. They also have their "signs" (seen only in manga--sun, moon, star) with them. They look like those one awesome images where they each are dressed as described and have their swords with their elements behind them. *one of the most common pictures on the web.

Another has Hikau with "level 2" armor helping up Caldina, who is dressed completely in black. In front of them is a purpal orb...

Two more are consecutive and definately from an animation. Hikaru in her uniform is floating up to a pink orb! in red-streaked, black space...very pretty.

There's another one of Umi where she's wearing her usual armors, but she's...sitting in a cage? I think this one is a covor or something--an inner CD pic.

There are a couple more, but i think these are more significant...If I'm allowed, I'll post all of the mentioned, not just two.

Hmm. None of these are screenshots from Clamp In Wonderland.

Now you have *me* wondering. The image of Hikaru+orb is not of screenshot proportions, but it could have been cropped...

I hope this works. I put the most important pictures into one mess and reduced their image size. Actually, I do have the ones of Fuu and Hikaru in their outfits, they're just REALLY small and easy to overlook. Next post.

It also doesn't looke like the credit opening for either series either... I might as well go and scour the net :D

Pic One: The one with the girl in blue: That's Umi (NOT Hikaru) and that screen shot is from the OAVS

Pic Two & Three: The one with Hikaru in space...These are screen shots from the opening sequence of the second season of Magic Knight Rayearth

Pic Four: Hikaru offering her hand to Caldina, that is from the first season

:D Just as I thought. Thanks Kawaii_No_Miko! so then, how come I haven't seen them (then there is an alternate opening for season 2?) ? Is that the difference between the English and Japanese versions?

Is there a "real" opening to the OVA in the Japanese? That picture of Umi (I know it's Umi--I just mentioned the other girls had the same outfits sorta) doesn't fit the OVA, and Hikaru's looks something like what she wore while in Autozam.

This whole difference-in-languages is one of my original questions. Is there that much of a difference? (deleated openings/entrances/scenes) :confused:

Is there a place where I can find these clips online?

Them??? There are different openings to all of the series made for the first & second seasons and the OAVs. However, there are no differences between the English and Japanese versions to it as the only editing they (US Company, Anime Works) done is just the title of the series and that's that.

To be honest, I have yet to see the OAVs and I'm STILL in the middle of collecting the second season right now. Get back to me on this when I have enough to get myself those copies of the OAVs. :heh:

Not much has been deleted as far as I know unless they have been shown on Cartoon (Crappy) Network. Though as far as I know, there are no scenes deleted (doing so is WRONG and is annoying for us collectors mostly) and like I mentioned before, Anime Works only replaced the original logo of the Japanese name of it and changed it to the English title.

:sweatdrop: Sorry about that then! I wasn't asking for a direct link, just a nudge in the right direction.

Agreed that anything taken out is WRONG :mad: ...that's why I was confused about the Caldina thing (it would have to be a cut from English scene if it was in the first series). MKR seems like one of the most honest dubs, as in they don't try to take anything out "for our gentle eyes' protection."

If those answeres are indeed correct, then what about the very first picture of Hikaru? The one where her hair is down and she's holding that orb? It loks like second season art....

WAITAMINUTE! If you say you haven't seen the OAVs how can you say the one picture is from them? Actually, I don't remember any kind of image like that in the OAV/OVAs and it's starting to bug me. I'm trying to figure out what the lyrics might be to ("hi ru ga ru yami [?]yo i ta [ha?] ka") but I'm drawing a blank. Maybe an ending to one of the parts? I know the Am'n version of the OVA has no ending outside the regular credits rolling... no animation or anything that is.
