I'd have to go with Misato as well. The coolest scene with her was during EoE. Her rescue of Shinji's pathetic ass was one of the best things I have seen in anime.

I always thought that Fuyutski was too much of a cipher up until the very end to enjoy to be honest.

My favorite non pilot character is, was, and always will be the mighty Misato Katsuragi! No character has ever been more admirable than the operations director for NERV :)

Any of the EVAs or Shito.

Although I guess my favorites (hard to pick, I love them all so much!!! :o ) would be EVA-01 (or Yui, as I like to call her...), EVA-02 (Frau Zeppelin! :D), Sachi, and Zer.

Yeah, I agree with Marius too. Kaji was a great character.

Someone who brought great insight into the show but unfourtunalty chose a path was always going to get him killed in the end.
