Ranma: any good?

I've finally found a local video shop with a decent anime selection, and they have Ranma (amongst others) so i was wondering: is it worth hiring? i've heard some good things, but also some bad things, so i was just looking for peoples opinions. Also, how many eps / movies are there in the series? Thanks :D

Well, Ranma 1/2 is my favorite anime series, so, yeah, I'd say it's worth checking out. Well, there's two movies (three, if you count the short film about the phoenix, but, that was released with the OAVs), 6 OAV videos (12 episodes), and as for how many episodes are in the TV series, it's safe to say there's well over 100 total, but, I can't give you an exact number.

It's really really great. The manga's better though because Takahashi only had creative control for the firat season, but if you get it, get subtitiled because the US dub is the WORST DUB IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD.

Actually, I didn't mind the dub that much (I've heard a lot worse!), but, that's just my opinion.

Theres 7 TV series, 12 OAVs and 3 movies. Ive only seen up to series 5 ep 12 but its a great series, especially if you're after a laugh

You should try getting some on e-bay, I love E-bay, I just gor the OAV series for $6.00 per tape. Too bad I have to wait til Thanksgiving to see it, My VCR went BOOM.

Frankly, the DBZ dub is much, much worse.

I suggest you start w/ the tv series since going straight into the movie and Oav's would just confuse things for you. Wait a sec. there are only 2 movies.
