quick chobits question

Im watchin chobits right now,and im jus wonderin if the anime ends off with the manga. Or do u have to read the manga to find out wat happens in the rest. And if so will all the chobits manga be here in America,so far i think i jus saw 3 and i wonder how much there are.

and another quick question. I jus watched 17 on the anime. Is the manga worth reading first then finish the anime later or jus finish off watching the series then read it after.

well, i havent seen the anime, but i can tell you that the manga is better. why? becuase its by CLAMP (which in the case of CLAMP, i personally think that the manga version is always better than the anime adaption), that and (from what i heard), the anime has slow pacing. so i recomend reading the manga. there's 3 volumes out in the US with 4 coming like...this month (i think next week?). there are a total of 8 volumes i think.

The chobits manga is much superior to the anime, though I would watch the anime before the manga if I had the chance because you would not compare them then.

I've only seen up to the 3 issue of the Chobits manga, and up to episode 16 of the anime, so I dont know exactly how close they are...I wont know until I finish getting all the manga and the anime.

However, so far, the anime and the manga are close, just not very close. As mentioned already, the anime does move slower than the manga. I'm up to episode 16 so far on the anime, and so far a lot more plot has been revealed in the manga, which I'm only up to issue 3.

I dont know what to recommend getting first since I'm currently getting both of them as I can find them. However, I'm doing ok with that, so you probably would do.
Personally though, I'm having more fun with the manga.

I've read the first two books of the manga, and watched the full TV series, and personally I actually prefer the anime so far.

So far, the anime seems to have more character and plot development than the manga, which blazes along quickly through the story arcs without giving any suspence or sub-plot at all..


Mind you, I'm a big fan of the series (big Chii wallscroll on my wall now, and my desktop icons are now chobits-themed). Wouldnt mind getting the manga, if it was a)Avaliable in Australia, and b)didnt cost amazing amounts of money due to crappy exchange rate.
