View Full Version : SBS screening anime . . . Patlabor 2 again!!

Doing my usual checkup on Heroic Cinema seeing what good HK movies are screening.

Anyway it seems that Patlabor 2 will be on SBS once again, now how many times is that? Is that the only anime they can screen?

Damn that's the 2nd thing I can't see tomorrow. I've got the cricket tomorrow plus there is also wresting on at the cinemas. Oh well I guess I have to tape it. And surprisingly enough, I have yet to see it.

I missed it last time it was on...didn't beat myself up though since I'm not a Patlabor fan.

I e-mailed them the other day asking to screen more anime. Y'know, with the wealth of titles MadMan brings to Aus you'd think SBS would be able to screen a hella lot.

I taped it so I watch it later. Even though I was about to go out to front door, I remembered it and set the timer.

Soooo... Do I need to know what Patlabor is about, or is it O.K to jump right into it?

Id be ok to jump right in I did when I first watched Patlabor 2 , youll just be a bit lost on some of the characters thats about all.

I think they are starting to think that Anime isn't good enough to be shown on their prime timeslot. Since the failure of BGC2040 last time.

If you remembered unlike Evangelion, the second re run of BGC was at the middle of the night. It's kinda indicating that it wasn't very popular. EVA tho was broadcasted 3 times I believe.

Also, I heard that broadcasting ANime isn't cheap. Like 3 times the cost of say.........South Park.
