To buy or not to buy?

I have the opportunity to get 9 origional tapes of one of the Ranma TV series for $150Au.....Should I get it?

Not sure how much that equals in USD, but I'd definately get it. . . if I didn't already own the first (etc, etc) series of Ranma 1/2 ^_^;;

Tatally get it. Here in the Us they're like $30.00 per tape. that sounds like fabulous deal to me.

They are slightly used, but still in perfect condition..
I'm not going to say anymore so that no one gets in and buys them before me ;)

if you can wait, get them on dvd. you get dual language, better quality video and sound, plus extras... but like i said, IF you can wait ... for YEARS :D

Well, if it helps, I know that at least the movies are already available on DVD.

Huh? It happens all the time. People sell their anime videos so they can replace them with DVDs. There are whole newsgroups dedicated to selling anime tapes and merchandise.

The series one boxed sets coming out soon which should be good. but yeah, if you dont have a DVD player then go for it.

Get a PS2, that way you have a video game system, a DVD player, a CD player and a gizmo capable of directing missiles. ^_^

Ranma1/2 Tapes are about 30 dollars a piece(i would know)
Plus The TV series is very hard to find now a days. As long as you know what you are buying(ie not copied) then go for it!

I'll try to avoid going in too deep with the PS2, I'm waiting. Its more than a Dreamcast and a Set top unit combined.. and its not a multi-zoned option at the moment which is important for anime, (I'm in crappy Region 4). At the moment you can get both movies and the OAVs on DVD, and the 1st Season set is on its way. PS2s sound quality isnt that great, it can't do propper surround and its picture quality is OK as far as DVD Players are concerned
